The weather was nastier than yesterday; howling wind, pounding rain, and claps of thunder and strikes of lightning every second. Felix didn't mind at all as he stayed curled in his blanket with his laptop in front of him of the current drama he was watching.

He felt a sudden presence in his room and he paused his show, turning his head to see Changbin standing at the door. He forgot he had a devil living with him. "What?" Felix asks. "I'm hungry," Changbin said as he leaned against the door frame. "Okay," Felix said, "go make food." Changbin's eyebrows raised at the attitude he was getting from the human. "Have you eaten?" Changbin asks and the question shocked Felix.

The last time he checked, he was nearly choked out by the devil for accidentally summoning him. "Um, no," Felix answered and watched as the devil analyzed him. "You're hungry," He spoke after many seconds of silence. "No, I'm not," Felix quickly argued as he sat up. Changbin stared at the human who was trying to be angry but seemed more embarrassed. "You're going to lie to a devil?" Changbin asks and Felix scoffs. "I'm not lying," Felix answered and Changbin walked over to the bed, startling Felix as he got close to him really quickly.

They stared at each other, Felix feeling intimidated by the devil's look. Felix's stomach growled which caused the human to wrap his arms around his stomach with an embarrassed smile. "See?" Changbin said with a grin, "hungry, let's go."

Felix yelped when Changbin pulled him out of his blanket cocoon and out of the room. Felix whined the short way to the kitchen and once they were in the room, Felix turned to glare at the devil. "Can't you cook?" Felix question. "Do you want this entire apartment building to be burned down? No, didn't think so," Changbin said and Felix rolled his eyes. "What do you want?" Felix asks. "You mean we," Changbin said and pointed to both of them. "You're eating as well," He said and Felix groaned. "Whatever, I'm making a sandwich," Felix said and walked to get the things he needed to make the sandwich. "Do you want chicken or ham?" Felix mumbles. "Chicken," Changbin said and Felix glanced over to the male. "Stop looking at me," Felix hissed and glared at him.

Changbin smiled and disappeared from Felix's field of vision. "Stupid devil thing," Felix grumbled and started making the sandwiches.

After lunch, Felix attempted to go back to his room to watch his drama, but Changbin kept him down on the couch so they could watch a movie together.

"I don't want to bond with you," Felix said and moved away from the devil to have the corner. "If you bond with me, you won't be so bitchy with me," Changbin said and glared at the boy who glared back. "You didn't have to stay here, you know," Felix answered and snuggled into the blanket he got from the floor. "Well, I wanted to," Changbin said. "It better not be because I summoned you by accident and now you have to stay with me because of some wack devil rule thing," Felix ranted and stuck his tongue out towards the male quickly before looking at the TV screen.

Changbin didn't pay attention to his sentence much since it was a bit ridiculous. He answered after a few minutes. "That's a demon thing, not a devil thing," Changbin said. "Same thing," Felix said. "Not really," Changbin said and Felix eyed him. "How? Don't you both come from the same place or something?" Felix asks and he suddenly gets interested as some old lady in his small town always complained about the devil and demon friendship. "Why are you being so curious now?" Changbin asks as he crosses his arms over his chest, hoping the human would stop asking questions and just enjoy the movie. "Because I can," Felix asks and quickly grabs the remote to pause the movie. "Now what's the difference?"

"Do you have a personality disorder or something? You go from despising me one minute to being curious the next?" Changbin questions as he looked at Felix who shrugged. "Curiosity," Felix said and gave a big smile. "Explain, explain, explain," Felix said and bounced on the couch with the blanket around him, making him look like an excited worm. Changbin stared at the human who kept strong eye contact with him.

Changbin gave a deep sigh. "Fine," Changbin mumbles and got an excited squeal from Felix. "Devil and demons come from the same place, but they have different jobs. All devils do is play tricks of humans as jokes that don't cause too much harm, but demons can make it seem like our jokes go too far," Changbin said and asked a question next, "have you ever heard of an older person say, 'demons are the link to depression or mental illness?'" Felix gave a slow nod towards him. "That's because they are," Changbin said and sighs. "Devils have started turning into reasons why people with depression either get cured of it or end up...killing themselves. Lucifer found it funny at first, but once he saw the big deal with demons killing half of the human population, he divided the devils into two different groups of one helping people get over their depression and the other playing nicer jokes to help people."

Felix took in the information before asking. "What are you then?" Felix asks. "Nothing," Changbin answered. "I was never given a job because my family already had one." Felix's face contorted into a confused look. "Job? Family? Um...what's the job?" Felix asks. "Protect some family," Changbin said, "apparently they've been targeted by some demon." Felix blinked before getting a small nod. "And let me guess, me accidentally summoning you ruined it?" Felix questions and Changbin shrugs. "I don't know," He said, "neither my dad, mom, or sister have been summoned by the family's eldest in a while so we've been chilling." Felix nodded slowly. "So...have you been playing pranks on people?" Felix asks and Changbin shakes his head. "I'm not like that, I do calmer things, it's not my thing to watch people either go insane from thinking they're being haunted or push a small book off a bookshelf for the shits and giggles."

Felix blinked quickly at how nice Changbin was. "But... never mind," Felix said and grabbed the remote to play the movie. Changbin didn't bother to question him as he settled into watching the movie while Felix was too confused and asking himself questions in his mind.

Why did he seem so mean at first? Why is he being nice now after nearly choking me? Why did he even stay and also why is he caring for me when I practically fucked up his life?

'Stupid rhetorical questions,' Felix thought as he gave a muffled huff as he slides down to be more into his blanket.
