The next morning, Changbin expected Felix to still be home. He exited his room and instantly noticed how quiet it was; no movement in the kitchen, the TV wasn't on, or the shower wasn't running. A pout came to the devil's lips as he plopped himself onto the couch.
He stared at the blank television screen before his eyes darted to the alarm clock on the fireplace. It read 10:30 and Changbin had to think back on if Felix had told him what time his classes ended. He didn't have much time to think when he heard keys jingling. He turned his head and watched as the door opened and Felix stepped inside.
Felix looked up and locked eyes with the devil he shared the apartment with. "Hello," Felix said with a smile. He closed the door and took off his shoes. He straightened up and turned to the living room direction; only having Changbin standing directly in front of him. "Hi," Changbin said with a smile. "Golden retriever much," Felix said with a smile back. "I'm hungry," Changbin said and Felix was going to say something regarding hunger, but the look Changbin gave him made him shut up. "Yeah, what I thought," Changbin said and patted Felix's hand, the mortal swatting his hand away and huffing.
Felix walked to the kitchen and Changbin went to his room to put a more comfortable shirt on; not a sweater. He came back to the kitchen after a few minutes and Felix looked over, his eyes widening at the tattoo that was present. "What?" Changbin asked as he walked over to a counter and leaned against it. "Your tattoo is cool," Felix said as he walked over to get a better look.
Changbin watched as Felix observed the tattoo, keeping his hands where they were next to him. "Is it finished?" Felix asks and Changbin shakes his head. "No, I just have my forearm that I need to do," Changbin said and a wave of guilt washed over Felix. "We could...set up an appointment for you to finish it," Felix said. Changbin looked at him. "I'm fine, it doesn't-"
"I can't get you back, so we might as well finish it here," Felix said with a convincing smile. Changbin nodded his head in answer as a small smile grew on his lips. "Mkay," He said and Felix went back to making their lunch. It was silent for a few minutes and as Felix finished up their food, Changbin asked, "when is your job interview?" Felix turned around, holding the plates in his hands. "I already did it. It was after my first class," Felix said and handed him the plate of food. "Oh...what time is your first class?" Changbin asks as he follows Felix to the dining room. "8 to 9," Felix answered as he sat down.

The apartment was silent as the hours ticked by. The sky went from its sunny weather to a dark and gloomy one. Rain droplets started quiet and soft and then turned loud and hard in a few moments. Felix and Changbin were in their rooms; the human working on some school work he was assigned while the devil looked for tattoo parlors.
He would scroll through the reviews and look for a tattoo artist's work and saw a few who watched the art style he was needing; armor type of work. He pursed his lips as he found one only a few blocks away and saw it had amazing reviews and some people complimenting the artist.
Changbin glanced at the time and frowned, seeing they had already closed. He tossed his phone to the side and laid on his stomach, wrapping his arms around a pillow and closing his eyes. It was only 2 in the afternoon but he already felt tired.
"Binnie?"
Changbin lifted his head from the pillow and looked towards the entrance of the room. "Yeah?" Changbin said as he watched Felix walk over to the bed. "Are you taking a nap?" He asks as he gently pushes Changbin over, the male allowing it. "Yeah, why?" Changbin asks. "No reason," Felix answered and laid down. Changbin stared at him before laying his head back down on the pillow, resuming his position from before.
Felix decided not to talk as he looked towards the unblinded window. It was nastier than ever with the storm and Felix didn't know how to feel. He liked storms, but at the same time, he didn't. He had a bad past with massive storms; nearly getting pulled out into the sea when he was younger and other things.
"I can hear your thoughts."
Felix looked at Changbin who was now looking at him. "Right," Felix mumbles and was about to get out of bed, but the devil made him stay. "Nope. You're scared," Changbin said and Felix eyed him, scoffing. "No, I'm not," Felix said, "why do you think that?" Changbin blinked at him and a loud crack of lightning, followed by a low rumble of thunder made Felix flinch. "Scared," Changbin stated and yanked Felix into an embrace, the human whining and wiggling around. "Stop, I have work to do," Felix said but Changbin only laughed at his struggle. "You came in here first," Changbin said and winced when Felix harshly punched his chest. "It was to bother you, but it backfired," Felix said and started pushing away.
The fighting only lasted a few seconds because Felix gave up. "You're strong," Felix mumbles, and Changbin only hummed in response. Felix looked up towards the devil and noticed how peaceful he was when he slept or closed his eyes. His features were relaxed and nothing seemed tense or on edge.
Felix's hands moved up to Changbin's chest and relaxed there as his head rested on the pillow Changbin had moved. 'A nap wouldn't hurt,' Felix thought as his eyes fluttered closed.
