(So this idea occured to me literally a few days after my publish days. Oops. Anyways, I hope you guys will enjoy this)!
Today was Father's Day in America. A day that Leela dreaded. Father's Day was different months and days in Australia and America but Leela always thought about Father's Day in America.
Everytime Mother's Day and Father's Day in both America and Australia came around, Leela was always wishing her life was a bit different. A life where her mother was still alive and her father wasn't abusive. She would've celebrated those days with them. Even Parent's Day in Korea. Unfortunately, it would never happen.
Leela looked through all of the posts about Father's Day. She teared up seeing all of these kids with amazing dads. She wished she had that. She wiped her tears away and laid on her bed. She hated this day so much. Then, she got a text on her phone.
🐺 Best Leader Channie 🐺
Hi baby. I know that you're
upset because today is Father's
Day in America. I know how
much you wish that you had
a father. I'm just thankful to
him for bringing you to this
world and to us. I love you
Leela! 🖤Leela
I love you
more Chan.
Thank you. 💜Leela smiled at the text. Just then, a thought occured to her. Chan has been a father figure to her for the past 4 years. Why can't she celebrate Father's Day with him? She thought about what to do for him and decided to do a little surprise for him. She got up from bed and decided to go out.
First place she went to was a store. She was looking for plushies that she could give to Chan. Then, she found the cutest plushie ever. It was a kangaroo with a little joey in her pouch and a koala on her back. Leela knew she had to get it. She grabbed it and went to pay for it after buying Chan's favorite snacks.
The Plushie
Next place she went to was another store and she went to grab a packet of loose leaf paper and a pen. She was going to write a letter. She knew it wasn't much but at least it was something. She went to a cafe and ordered some coffee and began working on the letter. As she drank her coffee, she thought about what to say. She wanted to put all of her sincere thoughts in the letter. And that's what she did. It made her cry a bit writing out how much Chan meant to her. She hoped he'd like it. She eventually finished and left the cafe.
She arrived back in the dorm, thinking about how to present the gifts to Chan. She was kind of nervous. She never did anything like this due to her father being a jerk. She decided to gather the boys in the living room and she'll read the letter to Chan and present the gifts while one of the boys records. She texted the boys and they gathered in the living room.
Leela left her room while the boys sat on the couch. "What's this about Leelee?" Minho asked. "Well, this is about Chan. I didn't realize it before, but today is definitely a special day for him." Leela said. Chan looked puzzled. "What do you mean?" Chan asked. Leela smiled at him. She grabbed her phone and told Felix to record, to which he complied. Leela made a hand signal for Chan to stand, to which he did. "This is a little letter to you. I've never done anything like this before so bear with me here." Leela said. Chan nodded, still confused. Leela began reading the letter.
Hi Chan!
You must be very confused as to why I am reading this for you and why I wrote it. Well, today is a special day for you. Even though it's for America, it still counts. Happy Father's Day!
For the past four years, you have stepped up as a father figure to me and the boys as our leader. I grew up in an abusive household, as you know. I never had anyone who was like a father figure to me. Until I met you.
You have shown me what it was like to experience a father's love. You are the father that I wish I had. You have shown so much love and protectiveness towards me over the years that it makes me feel so grateful because I've never had that before.
You are the absolute best leader to all of us and the best father figure to me. I love you so much Papa. Have an amazing day today.Love, Leela
While reading, Leela honestly got pretty emotional. Chan was crying by the time Leela finished. The boys were a bit emotional. Chan rushed over to Leela and picked her up, hugging her. "I love you so much Leela." Chan whispered to her as he cried. "I love you too." Leela whispered back, crying in his shoulder. Chan set her down and wiped his tears. "I'm gonna cry!" Changbin yelled, fanning his eyes.
Leela grabbed the snacks and plushie and gave it to Chan. "I got you your favorite snacks and a plushie. It's a kangaroo and a koala together!" Leela exclaimed. Chan smiled at her and hugged her again. "I love them! Thank you so much." Chan said. Felix eventually stopped recording and gave Leela her phone back. "I was trying so hard to not cry!" Felix said. Leela chuckled at him. Eventually, the boys left the room and gave the leader and maknae alone time.
Chan looked down at Leela, feeling so much love towards her. "You went through all of this trouble for me?" Chan asked. "It wasn't trouble at all! I realized earlier today after you texted me, that I had a father all along. It was you." Leela said. Chan smiled brightly and hugged her tightly. "You are the closest thing to a daughter that I will ever have. One day, maybe I'll have children of my own. But I will always consider you as my first." Chan said. Leela smiled and snuggled her face into Chan's chest. They stood there for awhile in each other's hold, feeling so grateful that they had one another.
(Here we go everyone! I hope you all enjoyed that! Chan is literally so amazing that he deserves so much love. Sorry about the missing uploads last week guys. I promise I will have a new upload on Monday. See you guys then)!
