"come on, what's taking the others so long to get over here by the time they get here lunch is gonna be over." johnny laughed "ill be right back johnnycake" he said okay and i ran over to the boys "hurry up you guys are taking so long me and johnny are hungry" i grabbed pony and two bits hand "come on" i said and we started running all the way to johnny "whats taking dal so long i gotta use the bathroom but i wanna eat first" "me too" two said "dont go alone" pony replied back "i dont want you getting beat up again" "yeah, darry will do something to dal if something happens to u" johnny added in "ill go with her i gotta use it anyway" "thanks two" "sure thing johnnycake." me and two ran to the bathrooms the first thing i saw was socs standing by the bathroom entrance. i grabbed twos arm. i knew if i got in a fight with any of them dal would be in trouble and there was a bunch of them. tons. and only 2 of us. i wouldn't even fight them anyway. so basically only 1 of us would be fighting and im not gonna let two bit fight on his own, its not fair for him besides i don't want him getting hurt. two knew that something was wrong "come on we'll go to the other bathroom on the other side of the school." he whispered in my ear and we walked all the way over to the other one. "ill stand outside, make sure nobody comes in" "thank you" i said and he just smiled. i heard someone outside the door it wasn't two "you cant go in there" two said "uhm why" a dark haired soc said" "someone is in there, but they will be out soon" "whos in there" "my friend she will be out in a second" "she wouldn't mind if i came in would she?" "she would mind probably. she would mind a lot, like a lot." "well tell her to hurry up already." the soc said with a sigh " sure, ill be right back." all the sudden two bit came in through the door "two what the hell" "i know sorry theres just a guy outside, i was afraid he was gonna barge in here" "oh, at least its u not him" "yeah, why u taking so long in here anyway" "im just sitting here enjoying the you know, reeking stench of the bathroom." "mm fun" "right" "lets go before he comes in here" i grabbed his arm and we walked out of the bathroom "hey ur the girl that was with winston earlier" "uhm, yeah" i mumbled "since winston is too scared to come face me ill just do something to his little friend" the soc said "No" two replied in a demanding voice "just go get dallas. two put an arm around me pulling me close "where is he" "uhh try the bar that buck owns, he should be there." the soc nodded and walked away "shit, that was close" two said "yep" he still had his arm around me
"im hungry" i said "your always hungry, lets get back to the boys" "race ya" "its on" he said. we ran all the way to the boys i was laughing as hard as i can i landed rolling on the grass by johnnys legs. "hey johnnycake pass me a sandwich im hungry" he tossed me a sandwich and i sat listening to the boys conversation. boys talk about the most boring stuff or just stuff that you dont understand why they are even talking about that. i layed my head on one of johnnys legs and started thinking about how i kinda did like two bit, johnny was right. hes funny, cares for me, he gets me you know, he knows when something is wrong, protects me, trusting, watches mickey mouse. he's practically perfect if you ask me. someone shook me away from my thoughts "get up y/n my leg is asleep and we gotta go" i sighed and stood up and started walking away "y/n what are you doing?" dal shouted laughing "johnny said we gotta go" " well when you were in ur little la la land over we discovered a new plan, im gonna go do some illegal things and two bit is going to leave school and stay with you." "oh, okay" "yeah so get over here" dal said waving me over. "bye johnny" i said giving him a hug "bye pony" i said gave him a hug too "bye dal" i gave him a side hug cus dally didn't really like hugs. "okay, lets go i guess" two smiled and we started walking. i was kind of happy he was with me i felt safe with him. safer than i was with dally. "what do u wanna do" he asked "i dont know, something fun" "we could go to the movies" "eh" "WAIT i have an idea" i said shouting "y/n quiet down, people are staring" he said laughing "we could go to the dx and talk to soda and steve, and then we could go to the ice cream place thats next store" "sure, good idea" "why not talk to them since there right there ya know." he nodded back in response. on the way there i kept seeing a few socs and got scared i held on to twos arm as we walked down the street. "two" i said nudging him "hm?" "bob" i said stuttering and pointing my finger at him. me and bob didn't have the best relationship. he always tried to harass me every time he would see me. one day the gang found me and johnny beaten up in the lot pretty badly. oh, you wanna guess who did it? bob. johnny was way more beaten up then i was tho. he was a bloody mess while i just had some blood and bruises everywhere. johnny had passed out from his injuries. i had tried to help him stay awake but i passed out just looking at him. i just remember waking up at the curtis house scared and confused. im afraid of all socs now from seeing what they are capable of doing to a person. two grabbed my arm and started walking fast. a blue mustang kept pulling up beside us "come on the dx is just on the other side of that building, if we run across to it we will lose the car." "okay" he said and we both started running as fast as we could over to the dx. we lost bobs car by the time we made it to the gas station. "come on lets bribe soda for some water" i said as we walked in. steve was right there "hey stevie how about some water" "got any money?" "not for u" he just smiled "then u dont get any water" "we just ran from a car now give us some water." "no, u have to pay" "you know what we will go bribe soda for water i know he will give it to us because he cares about my hydration unlike u." "y/n" he said as we walked out the door to sodapop. i had grabbed twos arm and dragged him over to wear soda was at "hey sodapop" i said giving him a hug" "hey" "we just ran from some soc back there could we get some water" "of course, follow me" soda replied and we both followed him over to the dx break room. he gave us both some water "thankyou" i said kissing him on the cheek. "what are u guys doing over here?" soda questioned "we planned on going to get some icecream next store and we wanted to stop by." two said "ohhh, arnt u supposed to be in school or something?" "yeah, but darry didn't want y/n being on her own today, and dal wanted to go do something so i just went with her today." "y/n u could have stayed with us all day ya know?" steve said while walking over to us "nooo i would just sit around all day and that would be boring." "true" soda replied "okay lets get back to work pepsi cola, we got people waiting." "okay well we'll see you guys later" "bye" me and two said and they both said bye back. as we walked next store to get the ice cream i wanted to ask him whats his favorite flavor. "whats ur favorite flavor two" i said randomly "strawberry you?" "chocolate" i said smiling "strawberry is gross" "what? no it is not." he said with a surprised look on his face "yes it is" all the sudden he picked me up and slung me over his shoulder and started running. we were laughing so hard and ran through the ice cream shop doors and everyone looked over at us and two had put me down. we just looked at each other and started laughing again "what would u like" the cashier said smacking her gum. "1 strawberry and 1 chocolate both on a cone please" two said and he handed me my ice cream. i took his arm and dragged him over to a booth so we could sit down finally.
