i was thinking about bob. which is weird i know but he rides the same bus and his friend sat in-front of me. so i was really thinking about his friend randy. randy was actually really nice to me and every time bob would mess with any of us randy would tell me he was sorry in class. and he was sorry u could tell. cherry bobs girlfriend was really sweet she had long beautiful red cherry colored hair hence the name. but ounce bob started approaching us more often she got mean. would give me dirty looks. she even rejected pony and made a fool out of him. she never ounce told me she was sorry for bob bothering us just randy. cherry used to give me quick smiles in the hallway, little compliments on how i looked or dressed, or would just make small talk with me in the lunch line. i dont know what happened. randy sits by me in some classes and he always talks to me. we get stares but he never cares and neither do i. the boys hate me talking to him but hes sweet and im not just gonna stop talking to him. i was caught off guard by two bit grabbing my hand and i seen randy turn around to look at us and he dropped it and i flung my head off his shoulder so fast "hey" he said "hi" i gave him a smile "did u study for that chemistry test" "shit.. i totally forgot about that" he laughed "well i didn't study either so i was hoping u did" "at least we'll be failing together" he smiled and i seen two stiffen up by my side and clench his fist. randy had turned back around and i moved closer to two and layed back on him "ur very quiet" "i know, im sorry i haven't talked" i apologized "are u still mad at dally" he smiled "yes" i sighed "u know its okay he doesn't know who ur boyfriend is" "i know it just still makes me mad" "i understand and nice acting today they definitely bought the whole thing. "thanks" i smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek. we got to the school and we walked together. johnny and pony had gym first period so they walked to the sports field. two walked me to my class and gave me a kiss on my temple and walked away. i had first period with randy and we sat next to each other. we were in the middle or finishing our assignment when he asked me something "so you and mathews?" "what" "u guys are close" "we're friends" "close friends?" "yes were good friends" "more than friends" "we are friends." he just nodded why was he asking anyway? all these socs are always so nosy. "u guys sit we each other a lot" "thats what friends do" "i know but yall do everything together" "were best friends" "i thought that small dark haired friend of urs was ur best friend?" "i have a lot of best friends" i ended the conversation by starting a different one "how are u and marcia doing" "good" marcia had shorter dark hair, very pretty, and she didn't care whether you were a grease or a soc she treated u the same way. "tell her i said hi" i smiled but she did give two bit her number which i was not too pleased about but he was drunk and two bit does things when he drinks booze. the bell rang and i got my stuff and headed to the door someone grabbed me when i walked out and my eyes widened. but it was just two bit. we started laughing i stopped when i seen randy looking at me and two set me down "randy thinks were more than friends" "aren't we" "yes but its a secret" "as long as the gang doesn't know its fine" "i know but randy always is asking questions and stuff" "want me to take care of it for u" i smiled "no ill handle it myself" we were at my locker by now "dont u have to go get stuff from ur locker" "nah" me and two have one class together its art which is next period its also with randy and some of his friends so of course he's probably gonna be staring. randys great just a little annoying and nosy. "okay lets go before u get another tardy" i said yanking him along. i never noticed how protective he was over me or hoe protective any of the guys were over me. everytime me and the gang went somewhere they would make me walk in the middle of them. when it was just me and two he would hold my hand and never let go. i liked it though knowing that he cared or the gang cared about me it was so sweet. he always let go before we went inside the door so it wasn't Suspicious to the other classmates. we walked in and sat at our seats and started working on our art project which was just coloring. art was my favorite class cus of two and he always makes me laugh in that class i always look forward to it. it was a long table and randy and a few friends sat at the end and ounce in a while id catch him glancing over to us. the bell rang and two walked me to my locker as always. i had gym next. but at least it was with johnny so its not that bad. the gym was all the way across the school from two bits class so i had to walk alone to gym. i never did anything in gym so i just kinda sat there the whole hour. i went into the locker room to use the bathroom and cherry and her little friends were in there of course they had to glare at me as i walked in. when i came out of the stall one of the girls tripped me and i fell on the tile floor and groaned in pain i landed on my knees but still my ankle had landed the wrong way. it took a second for the pain to kick in but ounce it did one of the girls kicked my ankle and spoke "oh and dont worry we'll tell bob to get johnny for us" and walked out i let out a yell and tried to get up without hurting it even more. he cant hurt johnny. johnnys already been through enough. we didn't even do anything. i tried to prop myself up. i had to go tell johnny before bob did something. i felt a few tears fall and heard the teacher taking attendance outside the locker room door and i heard my name "y/n" she paused "is y/n here today?" i heard johnnys soft voice speak "shes here where is she" "i think shes in there" i heard cherrys voice and rolled my eyes. someone pushed the door open they didn't walk in just pushed it open "y/n?" johnnys voice spoke "johnny come here" i heard his footsteps on the tile floor as soon as i asked for him. i heard laughing outside the door and johnny stand in front of me "are you alright? whats wrong? u look like u have seen a ghost" "i have its cherry, shes a banshee" he laughed "she tripped me and kicked me and bob he might try to find you" his eyes widened and he lifted me off my feet and went out the back door of the locker room "can i get some ice" he nodded and took me to the office to get ice. johnny was panicking. u could tell he was going crazy inside his head. he took us to two bits classroom and popped his head in the door "uhh we need to see two bit" his voice was shakey. two bit ran out the door "carry y/n" he handed me to him "what happened are u alright" two bit asked me "cherry and her friends tripped me and kicked my hurt foot and they told me there gonna go get bob for johnny" he just looked at me and didn't respond "are we leaving" i asked as we started walking again "yes" johnny said "we have to get pony" "thats what im doing" we got to ponys class and johnny knocked on the door "we need ponyboy" pony looked confused but he walked out the door "johnny were in the middle of school" "go get ur stuff" johnny was freaking. whenever something about bob was mentioned he would lose it so we just went along with it. pony looked at me and two bit i gave him the look so he would understand what was happening and pony just went along with it too. johnny walked out of the school. i didnt think he was serious but apparently he was. "im tired, ponyboy its ur turn" two said trying to give me to pony "we'll just take her to the er, its right here" johnny pointed to the small building across the street. johnny walked up to the girl at the desk "uhh she needs to get her ankle checked out" "ill tell the doctor" the sweet lady paused "fill out this paper for me hunny" she smiled giving johnny the paper and handing it to pony. he looked up at me confused and i took the paper "can u take me to that chair" i asked two bit and he did as i told. i filled out the paper and the doctor called me back i whispered to pony "stay with johnny and make sure he's okay" he nodded "wanna come with me" i asked two bit and he picked me up and took me back with the doctor. "well what seems to be the problem young lady" the doc asked me "i got tripped" "lets take a look" he examined my foot and took an xray "it looks like a sprained ankle but it is bruising a lot, so i would ice it as soon as possible and ill wrap up ur ankle" he wrapped it up "you can walk on it now but i wouldn't walk around a lot, but walking can heal ur ankle" "thank u" i grabbed two bits shoulder and hopped off the table carefully. i held on to one of his arms to stay balanced and walked out to the lobby. i handed the lady at the desk a few dollars and motioned pony and johnny and we headed out the door "yall wanna stop by the dx" pony asked us "thats a good idea" the dx was just up on the corner so we walked there. i gave up on walking i was too slow so i got on ponys back "im hungry" "we'll get u something" two bit said to me "darrys gonna be so mad pony" "i know im not ready for the lecture hes gonna give me". we reached the dx and i got off ponys back and stumbled over to soda and steve "hey favorite people ever" "what are u doing here ur supposed to be at school" steve asked "johnny had something going on and he wanted to leave" "ur foot" soda pointed out "a soc tripped me" "damn socs im sick of them" "wheres the others" steve asked "behind me" "ponyboy you know darrys gonna be so mad" soda said
"so don't tell him." nobody said anything after that. "so y/n wanna come to another party today?" "oh whos gonna be there" "its a big party with socs and greasers its gonna be huge" "ill think about it"
