The music begins. We are presented with the familiar and famous stock footage of the Thunderbirds launching. Scott holds onto the lampshades as the wall retracts around him, revealing Thunderbird 1's hanger. He is elevated towards his craft, which opens its side entrance. Virgil has leaned back against the portrait of the rocket and is lifted up and is sliding down a slope. Virgil then stops before he is turned around to his left ninety degrees, and then begins sliding down again. Meanwhile, Alan is in the passenger elevator shaft, descending down to join Virgil. The swimming pool begins to open, as Thunderbird 1 is lowered down on a trolley towards its launch bay, watching the Thunderbird from high above before cutting to Scott's ship as it heads down. In Thunderbird 2's hanger, the pods begin rolling past until we eventually reach Pod 6. Virgil, in his International Rescue uniform, selects the button to his right to lower Thunderbird 2. We watch from the exterior before Alan is lowered in from a lift with his uniform on. The rocks hiding Thunderbird 2's hanger begin to slowly open and reveal the craft inside. This is just as Thunderbird 1 has arrived correctly in position as to where it needs to blast off at.
Scott:
Ready for the blast off, father!
Jeff:
Ok Scott, away you go.
Scott:
Yes sir!
KABOOM! Thunderbird 1 blasts up from its hanger, up past the Tracy Villa, up and up, and reaching high into the sky. Thunderbird 2 is taxing along the runway with Virgil and Alan aboard. Once Thunderbird 2 has reached the correct position along the runway and is slowly raised into position. The blast shield is then raised up, before – KABOOM! Thunderbird 2 then begins blasting up into the sky. We see Virgil and Alan looking up ahead triumphantly, as we view the footage of Thunderbird 2 heading into the skies, and finishing blasting its nacelle housing booster rockets.
DUM DUN DUM DUN DUM DUN DUM...
