"No no we're not evil, the clones are evil." Baekhyun repeated, using excessive hand gestures as he thoroughly explained EXO's concept to her for the first time, their 'Obsession' music video paused on her laptop. "So this is us fighting our clones, see here you paused at good Sehun." He pointed to Sehun on the screen, wearing all black while holding a bow and arrow. "He's about to shoot clone Sehun with his arrow."

Sarang stayed quiet, letting his long explanation slowly process in her brain. "Okay... So are you guys aliens or werewolves?"

"We're not- Sarang. Listen." He heaved a breath and let it out in an impatient, infuriated sigh. "The point is we have super powers and my power is light. That's all I wanted to tell you, for fuck's sake. Remember you said I light up every room I walk into? It's funny cause my super power is light." He explained, going back to the joke that started out this whole lengthy conversation.

She shrugged her shoulders defeatedly, laughing at the genuine stress Baekhyun seemed to be in. "Okay, okay. It is funny."

The two of them had been sitting side by side on the couch in the last few hours, watching a couple episodes of western dramas on her laptop before they switched to Youtube and fell into an EXO rabbit hole. Just like last week, they spent the whole day inside, just them two.

Earlier, when he kissed her, Sarang's whole body had felt like jelly. Her eyes were closed and her heart was racing in her chest, but she had kissed him back as naturally as if it was second nature, like her lips had found a home in his.

When Baekhyun pulled away, he shot her the most dazzling smile that could possibly exist in the world. And then he stretched his arms and played her a song.

"I know just the song for you right now, it's called My Answer. I played it on the piano too back in our older concerts."  He'd said earlier after the sweet lingering moment of their kiss.

Sarang had never seen Baekhyun play the piano, but his fingers flowed through the keys expertly like he had played it his whole life.

Sarang couldn't steady the racing of her heart as he sang, the enchanting lyrics mixing Korean with English. And still, the warmth of his lips lingered on hers.

His soothing singing still echoed in her head hours later, to this second, even as he went on a long rant about the complicated concept that EXO debuted with. "Shouldn't you be going home, by the way?"

Baekhyun raised his brows, "Are you kicking me out?"

He looked comically offended but the sky was dark out already, she wasn't sure what he expected, to stay over? "Yes."

Baekhyun shook his head, clutching his heart dramatically. "Wow. Wow. First you serenade me with the most romantic song to ever exist, now you're kicking me out? That's called mixed signals, you know."
