A smile was still lingering on Sarang's face as she stood in front of her apartment door, reaching into her bag to look for her keys. It was surreal how fun life had become ever since she met Baekhyun. They never even did anything grand like go to amusement parks or have long road trips, all they ever did was normal everyday things, but he made every small normal thing feel special.

When her hand found her phone, she took it out instead, smiling down at her lockscreen. It was the polaroid he had printed of the selca they took at the hairstylist's salon, Baekhyun smiling at the camera while she kissed him on the cheek.

The elevator ding was audible from the other hallway just as heavy footsteps came out. Sarang turned her head and saw Yongshik turning into her line of sight, swaying on his feet. She held her breath and immediately went back to looking for her keys.

"Yah, Sarang, what are you doing home so late?" Yongshik called when he saw her, it was clear from his slurred voice that he was wasted. She quickly fumbled with her keys as she tried to fit it in the lock, meanwhile Yongshik was headed directly for her. "Sarang-ah, don't ignore me."

Once the key turned successfully, Sarang opened her door and slipped inside as fast as she could. But before she could close her door all the way, Yongshik's hand roughly blocked it. Sarang backed away, her own hand shaking as she hurriedly tapped through her phone, clicking the first name that came up.

"Hey, hey there... Don't be so mean, okay? I know you're just playing hard to get." Yongshik staggered in and stopped by a table to steady his footing. Sarang couldn't tell if she had successfully called anyone, but she still held her phone behind her back.

"You need to get out." She stated, finally finding a little bit of voice in herself.

"Come on, Sarang.." He swayed closer and Sarang backed up until she hit the kitchen counter, the panic causing her brain to haywire. She couldn't think straight, she couldn't even look straight, it was like she had tunnel vision where only drunken Yongshik was visible. "I know there's something between us. Don't tease me."

What does he want?

That was a stupid thought. She knew what he wanted.

What is he gonna do?

What is he gonna do to me?

In a sudden surge of hysteria, Sarang gathered the courage to come up to him and kick him in the crotch, immediately backing away as he toppled over on the floor. "I said get out!" She yelled, her voice shaking and her heart thumping violently against her ribcage.

Yongshik writhed in pain on the floor, looking up at her in rage. "You.. you fucking bitch!" He was so angry, his face was entirely red. Sarang gasped when he staggered back up, coming towards her in a run.

Without hesitation, Sarang ran too. She ran into her bedroom and slammed the door shut, locking it just in time as Yongshik slammed into it from the outside. He banged against the door, yelling in anger, calling her all the degrading profanities to possibly exist. Sarang was shaking when she noticed her phone on the floor, Baekhyun's name glowing on the screen in an active call.

"Baek?" She whispered, crouching down and scooping her phone up into her hand, pressing it against her ear. "Baekhyun? Are you there?" Yongshik was still angrily slamming against her door, she was so scared she couldn't even focus enough to listen to the other end of the line. Sarang thought she heard Baekhyun's voice saying her name, but she couldn't be sure. "Help me, Baek."
