in a world where one seeks connection with the rest,
you tend to avoid eye contact with them, tend to limit your texts,
you don't want to seem too interested or too eager for it,
you hold your feelings back wondering if you're too emotional or unreasonable,
you silence your instincts and the thoughts you're about to say,
and you feel misunderstood and let down by the end of the day,
but it's okay to be emotional, it's okay to be sensitive,
it's okay to tell someone that talking to them makes you smile,
and that they make you the happiest you've ever been in a while,
it's okay to be hurt, it's okay to cry, it's okay to ask for help,
being vulnerable as humans is what creates the depth in our bonds,
this is what ultimately brings us closer, nothing to hover over,
so go ahead and tell that person how much they mean to you,
perhaps they really needed to hear what you had to say, who knew,
say it before you run out of time, say it before it's too late,
say what you feel before the opportunity gets snatched away by fate,
for love, waiting is a mistake.
