sighing heavily, i put my phone down on the bed,
another 2 hours has passed since your last text,
well what was i expecting, i'm nothing but a friend,
i wish we could be something more but i'm just going to pretend,
brown eyes, black hair, tall enough to call me short,
a football player ; a cherry on the top, boy let me give my best shot,
a dream come true, hope fate doesn't tear us apart,
you maybe losing the game but you're winning my heart,
silly me, i'm wearing my heart on my sleeves again,
imagining a thousand scenarios with you when our story just began,
i really hope you're something more than just another heart throb,
i patiently wait for the day to come when i call you my home,
it's funny how we just met and all of this unravelled so fast,
hope the memories we make now are worth forever to last,
we barely know each other and i've already been thinking of you and me,
but i wanna know you more, let's play the game of love, now shall we?
