"what?" the young man shot over his phone as he took a last sip of his drink before dropping it to the trash can nearby.

"scar called. they want more of the same one from last time."

ten's ears perked up. "right away? didn't they just kill two recently?"

"not our business," kun, their group's oldest member replied. "you deliver it. you gotta get used to it again,"

the young man raised a brow. "excuse me? i am now," he retorted but the latter just deadpanned. "but when it's them then i don't want to! you know that their boss is pretty mad at me since i was brought in questioning back then right?"

"yeah, he almost killed the heck out of you there," kun joked.

"does it really have to be me?" ten asked as he continued on his tracks, stomping like a kid. "it has to be you. plus they're big boss' kids so just go do your job," kun voiced to convince him.

the young man let out a scoff, "we're also one of his kids too, you know. partially but still."

"but they're VIP kids. besides, they probably forgot about it already. it's been years."

"pretty sure not since i was the first and still current person to put everyone in danger but fine," ten groaned in defeat. "when do they need it?"

"they want it tonight."

"excuse me?" ten shot over the line.

a teasing laugh sounded through the call upon hearing his reaction. you see, that big boss of theirs is not a simple person. it's not just 'kill the bad guys' and 'job well done' afterwards. he can be chill, but also ruthless at such situations. if a match gets lighted, a bomb explodes. that's how things go when even a tiny inconvenience happen.

that's why ten stepped out of things like these. he still works for the whole thing, but not when their big boss' kids are involved. he never had some connection anyway. none of them did– in fact, they never did know each other.

of course they're aware that there's this and that but it ends there. they don't know who were part of the other group. they only addressed each other with their code names. from what he knows, the leader of that other group was named alex.

"c'mon, it's transaction day anyway," kun persuaded.

ten sighed knowing that there's no way out of it. "fine," he said, "tell them that it'll be at the same bar. as always."

"called them," yuta informed and sat with them as they discused things again at their dining area.

"great!" taeyong exclaimed as he brought in a brief case full of money. "we're not spending that of course. there's no way a dead man can still earn," he said as the boys stared at him with raised brows.

"we?" taeil asked.

"yeah, i'm going with you guys. me, jae, and yuta are gonna do the talk while you and youngho are gonna watch and stay put."

taeil rolled his eyes, "aren't you supposed to be out of this?"

"change of plans! i'm going. this kill order is already shady enough for me to make sure that things go well and that there will be no 'surprise you're dead because of your games' ambush," the leader replied.

taeyong's thoughts contradicted his chill and playful facade. the boys might think that this is just some minor inconvenience to him but he's just as scared and creeped out like they were. a hint of regret even tugging on his heart.
