"bummer." doyoung sighed as he laid back tired at the car seat.

"hey, it's fine. we're not supposed to be doing this anyway. our mission was to get ten," joohyun comforted the younger. annoyingly, trefoil found their way out of this wild chase.

the masked man shot early and to add more surprise, the bullet went straight to their side mirror instead of the two's mutual aim for the tires.

luckily, the two agents weren't affected by the bastard's shot. seems like he wanted to be kind too and shot only a little away from them so they can live.

"got them," taeyong snickered after successfully shooting them lost.

"we're doomed. literally," youngho uttered with fear.

the agents wouldn't obviously disclose the fact that trefoil was actually a group, but they just gave them a very dangerous clue that will just fire those five up in hunting them. eitherway, they're screwed. this will get to their boss for sure.

"that girl bitch pissed the hell out of me," yuta hissed as his hand holds on the wheel tighter. the leader could only let out an amused smile at the latter's words.

seulgi, huh?

she was different from how she acted in the cafe. he found her chill and easy going but seeing her this night was different. he could see her being aggressive and determined. and even just for a short while, it was fun having a one on one with her.

"please, that other agent dude was whack," taeil sneered. "called me a son of a bitch and he was right."

the four boys snickered at his words. the agent was indeed, right. taeil was a son of a bitch–his dad was a complete one.

a wasted drunkard who abused his younger sister. their mom died the moment she gave birth to her, leaving taeil the responsibility to support the family. he stopped going to school and applied for multiple part-time jobs that would always drain the heck out of him everyday. their dad was never the way he became. he had always been so loving, not until their mother's death.

taeil's younger sister was loathed by their own father. every time he would come home the sight of his poor sister covered in bruises would always greet him along with the disgusting view of his father chugging down six bottles of alcohol.

things got even worse up to that night where everything in taeil's life just crumbled and torn apart.  it was half a good thing he got home that night to at least save his sister from getting taken advantage of by their father. that part he was about to save, but the very ending of that night was him crying over the corpses of his family. one killed and one about to be slashed dead.

taeil could remember that dreadful sight as clear as the day. he could still feel the rage and fear he felt for his father's life. quite ironic that despite of all the anger filled inside him he still pleaded for him to live. that on that one crucial second he actually wanted to give his father a chance despite of everything.

everything rots in the end.

those were his father's last words.

up until today he still wondered what those meant, mainly hoping that his father did think about changing even just once. that there could've been a time to where they were back to the loving family, and perhaps his father was just too guilty to act on it.

taeyong eyed the older by the side mirror, noticing his blank, gloomy, stares. the older insisted that he was over it many times, but taeyong knew damn well that it wasn't easy as that. even if you were completely over the matter of it, it will never leave your mind.
