"Lol," Lyra said.

"It's not that funny, actually, given that you NEARLY DIED." Andesine snapped.

"You carried me all the way out of that forest," Lyra said cheerfully. "That's hilarious."

"WHY?!"

"Chill. Maybe if you're good, I'll tell you one day."

"Tell me now, idiot,"Andesine threatened. "You might not die when I kill you, but you're totally going to hurt."

"Lol," Lyra repeated.

"Stop doing that!" Andesine punched Lyra in the arm. "And why didn't you tell me you could do that?"

"As if I know everything," Lyra replied, throwing her hands up in the air. "Anyways. Where are we going again? Temple of Gravity?"

"Yeah. It's, uh..." Andesine looked around. "Huh."

"Don't say it."

"Okay." Andesine said.

There was a short period of silence.

"Yeah, we're lost," he admitted.

Lyra groaned. "You could have just kept pretending we were heading towards the ninth Temple, you know."

"What good would that have done?"

"Placebo effect. We might have actually found it."

"I don't think that's how it works..."

"You don't know that. Anyways, if I believe it works, it might work."

"You're insane."

"If you believe that."

Night was starting to fall. The forest was now receding into the horizon, and the foothills of a mountain range dotted the land. Suddenly, something popped into her head. "Are those the Air Mountains?" She asked.

Andesine looked up at them and shrugged. "They could be. I don't know," Andesine started, then paused. "How do you even know what the Air Mountains are?"

"It just popped into my head. I looked at the mountains, and then I thought, 'Those are the Air Mountains.' So I took a wild guess."

"That's weird. Hey, can you remember where you first landed?"

"Yeah, it was this pretty place filled with flowers. This girl sprouted out of a giant one and-- the Fields of Rebirth?"

"Yes...that sounds about right. So if you are right, then those are the Air Mountains. And if those are the Air Mountains, there should be a valley with a pit in it where the Temple of Gravity is." Andesine began to walk faster. "Come on, we'll get some sleep when we reach the foothills."

Of course, the world seemed to do all it could to keep Lyra from gettting some sleep. Three Kyanites sprang forth while they walked towards the Air Mountains. They spawned within five minutes of each other, which would have been annoying if Lyra didn't have so many cool keys (and a sword-- but she didn't use it much except to look impressive, because she hadn't had very much training with it and the first time she used it she nearly cut off Andesine's head).

When they finally reached the foothills, a tree on one of them shot a giant seed at Lyra from its roots. Andesine pulled her out of its path, grabbed her sword, and stuck it into the tree. Lyra didn't hear much of the hissed whispering going on between the two, but the tree definitely shrunk back into the landscape and tried to look less threatening. If a tree could look threatening in the first place.

"Ah, peace and quiet at last," Lyra said, and as a Kyanite roared in the distance, added, "or something like it."

"I'm getting the feeling we should sleep in shifts," Andesine said. "The idea of us both sleeping at once makes me uneasy, with all of the monsters around here."

"Mkay,"Lyra said, stretching out. "You first."

"Hey!"

"C'mon, Andesine. You're my rock. Plus I need to sleep," Lyra replied.

"Whatever," Andesine grumbled. "You're half asleep anyway."

"Mhm."

 Roxy got up again.

There's really no point in this, dear.

Shut up, she thought. I do what I want.

What are you hoping to achieve?

I don't know. But there's gotta be something other than rock on this planet.

There isn't.

Yeah, I know.

Roxy took a step-- and vanished from the face of Android.

She'd expected teportation tobe something special. If not extreme pain, then at least some sort of racing sensation. But, no. The only difference was the landscape. Instead of a gloomy, nuclear-fallout type place, Roxy was now surrounded by a lush forest. A wall kept out most of the foliage, but flowers and shrubs still covered the ground. The walls on either side of the gate etended for a ways, before separating, forking into two paths.

"What?" Roxy looked around. Behind her, the portal swirled green for a second before disappearing. "Huh. Thought that it would be more... obvious."

Clearly, you haven't been in a transporter before.

Was I supposed to have experience with these things? Roxy wondered, as she summoned her staff and poked it through the portal. When it didn't get tugged out of her hand or vaporized, she stuck her head through.

The landscape of Android reappeared.

"This is weird," Roxy said, and pulled her head back.

You could say that.
