Roxy sighed in frustration. She'd been trying to summon luck for hours, but none seemed to be left. On a whim, she decided to try Doom magic. She closed her eyes and breathed deeply before opening them again, and gasped.

It was like she'd gone blind. Void-like tendrils of  Doom writhed before her eyes, obscuring the burned-out landscape. Looking around, the only lack of Doom she ould see clung to her own body like a wavering candle flame. She canceled the vision and sat down, breathing hard.

"Jegus," she hissed.

Why on Android did you try that?

"I didn't know..."

Don't do it again.

"Like I'd want to. Are you done 'settling' or whatever?"

Yes. We have finished.

"Cool. What happens now?"

Now, the knowlage leaks into your brain a little at a time. You'll gradually become aware of certain things, although others you may not know until you experiment with or until everyone you know is in mortal peril.

"Lyra, Benny, and Winter," Roxy muttered. "You think they're going to be in mortal peril?"

I am certain their planets have placed them in multiple situations already where they were in mortal peril, the Sibyls replied. They are most definitely going to be in more peril, soon. The Universe Boss is coming. The destruction of Android is worrying him.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

It is HIS universe. Or at least, it would have been, soon.

"And we came in and screwed up his plan?" Roxy smiled wryly. "Sounds a bit cliche."

WE did not write this story.

No they didn't, I think.

"Were they... talking about you?" Cirra asks, pointing at the line.

"Good question. Maybe? I really don't know much about them. Roxy was all tight-lipped on the details."

"Hmmm. Wasn't there a Mage on your team? Could you talk to them?"

"No, I couldn't," I say, a lump forming in my throat.

"Oh," Cirra says, realising what happened. "Oh. I'm sorry."

"It's okay," I say. "I should get back to the story."

Roxy paced back and forth across her barren planet's soil, thinking. "So, I have to get off this rock," She said. "Before I starve or something."

Correct. Although, your Elemental skills should allow you to bring together some water from the atmosphere. Judging from the amount of fat you have, you should have about a month before you die, and one and a half weeks until you are too fatigued to move.

"Great. So, I guess I'd better tell them that."

That would be the most logical thing to do.

Roxy opened Pesterchum, trying Lyra first, then Winter. Finally, she began to pester Benny, who picked up immediately.

starboundMage (SM) began pestering cerebrumRock (CR).
