"you wanna get something to eat?", atsumu asked as they sat back in the car

"thanks for coming", she said, leaning in and planting a soft kiss on his lips

"tch, you're not supposed to thank me for this"

her phone rang as they were talking. and it was her mom. she sighed, putting it on speaker.

hello?

y/n how long till you're home?

fifteen minutes?

okay i'm going out
i got called to work
be back in a few hours

okay

so use your spare key
it's in the pocket of your jacket

okay

be careful

okay

she hung up the call, leaning against his arm and resting her eyes.

"what does your mom even do?"

"she's an ENT"

"she's kinda scary"

"pretty sure she was just worried about me, cause she's cool otherwise."

"yeah?", he looked at her when he didn't hear a response.

for the first time in days, she fell asleep peacefully.

-•-•-•-

"y/n..", he tapped her cheek slightly as the cab came to a halt outside her house, "we're here"

she got up and mumbled something along the lines of "what is happening" and handed him the key and went back to sleep.

it honestly made him feel relieved when she zoned out like that. it gave a sense of... normalcy?

he paid the taxi driver and helped her out of the car before lifting her up full on bridal style.

she wrapped an arm around his neck loosely, taking in the feeling. her head rested on his shoulder instinctively.

he turned the key in the lock and let them in, but he would soon realise that they weren't alone in the house.

atsumu walked in with his girlfriend asleep in his arms to see two girls looking at him with a fucked up mixture of shock and awe.

he narrowed his eyes at them. "who are you?"

for a few seconds they were too dazed to say anything and then they hurriedly broke the silence.
