He raised his pain filled eyes to meet Oliver's concerned ones. Tears began to pour down the younger mans face, as Oliver gently pulled the blade from his trembling fingers.
"Ol-Ollie. I- Im so s-sorry"
"Hey hey. Shhh you're okay now Bear. I've got you." Oliver cradled the younger man to his chest and picked him up to take him to bed.
After tucking Barry into bed, Oliver went to leave when he felt a hand catch his wrist. The older man looked back to find Barry's tear streaked face staring up at him.
"Please don't leave me." The fragile speedster whispered. As Barry pulled back his covers Oliver got in and held the younger man close to his chest.
"Don't worry bear, I'll never leave you."
The last thought Barry had before he succumbed to sleep was of his hope that maybe this time he truly wasn't alone, maybe this time was different.
