Alex POV:
"Sir, I have doubts, I think that place we busted is just a decoy, they planted these drugs there so we could find those not the real operation and it would bring the heat down."
"Alex, who would plant drugs which worth more than a million dollars and also the paper trail that would lead us to them. I have done the conference about this case, I told the media that we have raided the main storage facility of Rakishi Mob, and folks at LA have caught their Leaders. It was a joint DEA-FBI operation we have done our part and assisted them with the raid. DEA has cleared the case so instead of worrying about a case which is not our responsibility anymore you should look forward to your next assignment, whenever you get it."
"OK, sir."
"Good."
He moved away from me. I am still not satisfied before I talked to my boss I tried talking to DEA but they also were not much interested.
"Alex is thinking that there were drugs worth a million dollars and only 2 guys protecting it. They bolted as soon they realized that federal agents were there and when she investigated them they didn't even know what they were protecting. They are just low-level thugs who were hired at a local club two weeks ago by a man they can't even describe. Things are not clicking into place."
I went to my desk and sat down it in annoyance, there was a file on my desk. It was the evidence report from the forensics department. I randomly went through it all of these were drug reports until I came to something which was not. It has a page documenting a printer ink cartridge. It was mentioned that it was unused, not even opened. Everyone was so happy with their so-called accomplishment that they didn't even saw the evidence report. I immediately drove to the DEA evidence storage facility and take a look, it was bought from an online store as the packaging was still with it, electronic appliances and products tend to have serial numbers in case they needed to be tracked down by the officials. I quickly googled the model number to see where I can find its serial number. It was written internally so I took it to the forensic department and asked them they opened it, they gave me the serial number. I went to the nearest center of the online store, introduced myself, and asked for the delivery location for the product after showing them the serial number, they were compliant. We exchanged phone numbers; they assured me that they would text me the location.
"All Alex has to do now is just wait for their response and if it comes out empty she wouldn't peruse it any more than she already has."
Soon enough I got a location.
It was a house on the other side of town. I got there after I left the FBI building in my own car; the night was approaching so I needed to hurry. I stopped a block before the house. I didn't want whoever was in the house to be spooked. The lights were off in the house by the looks of it no one was in the house, I circled to the side of the house, the house was by a train track and there was a train passing by, I shined my flashlight inside. the next thing I remember was getting hit in the head.
Omniscient POV:
The man dragged the woman inside the house before the train passed. He was coming back after running some errands and saw this woman peaking in the house and when she pulled out the flashlight it was obvious that she was from law enforcement. He panicked and hit her in the head with a heavy stick. After he pulled her back into the house. He called his boss.
Boss: Why the fuck are you calling me.
The man: there's a problem, I don't know how but an FBI agent showed up here.
Boss: What, How!
The Man: I don't know, I was coming back to the house from the store and I saw her outside the house. I panicked and knocked her out.
