Chapter 16: Goodbyes

After the final decision from the principles we've split in two groups..
Shade's posse and Kira's pack. I myself was beside Kira.
I watched as they eyed one another. Shade was still taken back by Kira and Kade being assigned together. I know she'll assume I was a part of it..

Lace looks to me and shakes her head slowly...
Just don't pay attention her. They're only trying to get to you Amber. I tell myself often-I have to.

"Hey, let's get back to our dorm. We should start packing, Sage" Drake nudges him.

"Heh oh right. Cmon boys." Sage motions for Drew and Kade to follow..
Kira and I shared worried glances. Wait you guys just can't leave like this.

"You guys think Kira and I could come by too for a bit?" I ask shrugging.

Drew turns around with a smile "Sure Ambs. You don't even have to ask."
Drew's the best.

"Uh can I come too?" James follows us.
We all nod making him smile..
James is pretty cool too. I'm sure he'll fit in just fine.

Once we got back Sage and Drake started packing. I noticed Kira's mood had changed. I don't have those powers like Sage, but it's pretty obvious..
I've been sitting on their couch analyzing.. nothing really much to do.

"Again guys I'm sorry I put you through this...I'm just gonna miss you two dummies" Kira lightly chuckles..

Of course I'm going to miss them too, but Kira was closer to them than I'll ever be. It's like a ride or die type of thing.

"Hello ma'am. What are you up to?" Drew pokes and sits beside me.

"Nothing much. Aren't you upset about them leaving?" I asked a good question.

Drew slouches in the couch. "Of course I am, Ambs. They'll be fine without me in mobius. You do know that they're big boys now?"

Of course I know that..
I look down at our hands brushing each other. We both did actually..
For his privacy I moved my hand away. We don't want last time repeating itself..
Drew glances away toward Kira and James.

"So have you told Kira yet? Or anyone at all?"
Oh he's talking about that. I'm not really sure how to approach it..

"No I haven't. Do you think I should?" I looked down at my hand. I don't think it's that important right? I don't even know how to control it..

"Absolutely. " He huffs. "Not to put any pressure on you Ambs, but you could really help Kade Remember Kira as well as Sage and Drake. They lost their memories too. That way we all can get Shade and Andrew back for what they did." Drew clinches his fist. He's really bothered huh?
Well that is a lot of pressure..but he has a point. But I don't even know how to work this stuff.

"Yeah..I know." I sigh..

"Also. You'd make a great partner when I become a detective." Drew winks..
I look up at the ceiling with a light blush-ugh this wolf!

"Yeah. I know."

"Hey, why don't you get your schedule changed so you could have a class about detective work." Drew folds his arms, and looks away. "Perhaps we would have a class together. It'll be cool."

I really like the sound of that idea.

"I'm not sure Drew, b-but I'll look into it." I sighed with a light smile..

"Kira if you don't stop trying to help us I'll electrocute you." I heard Drake warn Kira.

Drew and I turned around to see Kira frozen holding Sages bag.

"Drake, I cant be electrocuted-I'll just absorbe it." Kira smirks. "Go ahead and try it, buddy." She dares.

"Please Don't..." Drew sighs out loud beside me.. "I don't want another electrical fire-someone els might get suspended."

I look over at Drew to make sure he's alright.. He's a mystery all right..
A cute one at that.

I then watch Kira as she gave Sage his bag back. A playful grin was on Drake and Sage's faces while Kira looked liked a worried mother sending them off on a trip..

Oh my dear friend, Kira. The pain you've been through..I wouldn't even to dare to think i could handle it..

"Geez don't cry... you'll make me all sad too." James puts a hand on Kira's shoulder.

I look at Kade to see his reaction. He just looks at James with a light glare from behind him.. I really hope they get back together.. ya know Kira and Kade.
I turned back to Drew when I heard him chuckle. He was looking to James and Kade too
Drew has had a hard life as well.
I have so many questions for him.

"That's about it.." Sage huffs.

The two were basically done packing and had their things ready to go.

"Let's walk ya down. Alright?" Drew got up from beside me and went for the door.
I stood as well walking to the door like everyone els.
Everyone expect kira.
All the guys left out the room while I stood at the doorway..

"You're coming along too, right?" I asked my good friend.. she starred at the floor silently..

"Uh nah" she sniffs her nose. "You better go ahead though..Drew would like the company."

Why did she bring up D-drew?
I look away avoiding eye contact as my face heated up. When I looked back at Kira she let out a light giggle as a tear hit the hard wood floor.
No, don't cry.

"Don't worry- I'm gonna take a walk. Text me when you're on your way back to the door. We don't want to be alone nowadays." Kira scoots me out the room as she closed to door behind us..

Its Kira we're talking about. She'll figure it out.

"Be c-careful.." I nodded and waved at her as I followed the boys..
