A week passed after the incident. Namjoon and I haven't really talked since then. Imani's crush for Namjoon has increased and she's totally in love and talks about it all the time as I listen.
"Oh my gosh, have you seen his smile?" She exclaims as we are walking from school. "It's honestly so cute and he's low-key smart as well."
"Yeah, I guess." I unrelentingly say.
It's been 10 minutes since she's been rambling about him.
Ironically, I got a text from Namjoon.
nj: Hey! I actually found someone who wants to join us, so I'd like you to meet him. Meet me at my house rn!!
Okay, address?
nj: Oh yeah here.
I look at Imani as she peers at my phone.
"Hey!" I yell at Imani angrily.
"Sorryyyyy" She looks at me guiltily. "But how come your meeting up with him? Can I come?"
I look at her and shake my head. She doesn't know about what we're planning and quite frankly I don't think she'll understand.
"Fine, but are you sure you two aren't dating?" She mutters looking disappointingly at the ground.
I look at her taken aback.Namjoon and I?
Never have I ever really thought about it like that.
"You know Imani I'm not even allowed to date anyone because of my religion. Plus we were meeting up for homework."
She nods and begins to smile again in relief.
She loves him that much. I couldn't help but smile back at her.
My loving, bubbly, beautiful, perfect friend.
I couldn't help but be thankful for her being in my life.
I promise I will help you have Namjoon, your true love.
