Alora Lin
I peeled my eyes open to be met with the blinding sunlight streaming in from the windows. I hovered my hand over my eyes to block it out, snuggling further back into the warm chest pressed against my back.
Strong arms wrapped around my body. I smiled to myself, glancing over my shoulder to place a kiss on my fiancé's forehead only to be met with light blonde hair.
My eyes widened as I suddenly remembered the events of the night before.
I swallowed harshly, pushing down the guilt as I carefully started prying Draco's arms off of my body.
I gently placed his arms back down the mattress once I had sneaked out from underneath his hold. I scurried out of the bedsheets, tucking them back in place before searching for the dress I had worn last night.
All of my clothes were scattered on the floor alongside his.
I mentally slapped myself for how easily I gave into my temptations. Yet again, I had lost control around Draco. I'm supposed to be getting married in a few months. I need to start getting my shit together.
Once I had slipped on my underwear and dress, I grabbed my high heels and began tiptoeing towards the door.
"Leaving so soon?"
I froze, circling around to see Draco gazing up at me from his spot on the bed. His hair was messily ruffled, and his raspy morning voice made it even more difficult to be annoyed with him.
"Yeah, I have to go," I muttered ashamedly, turning back around to reach for the doorknob.
"Hate me that much, do you?" he remarked, getting out of bed. "You hook up with me one day and then regret it the next."
"Please, put some pants on," I stated, shielding my eyes from his dick that was swinging with every step he took.
"Calm down, love," he chuckled, reaching for his briefs. "It's nothing you haven't seen before."
I felt my cheeks heat up at his words.
How could someone be so obnoxious and charming at the same time?
"Look, I really have to go," I continued. "Theo's going to get suspicious."
"Stay," he snuck up behind me and grabbed my wrist to stop me from opening the door. "Let me make you breakfast."
"Please, Draco I–"
"You want me to show you how much I care? Stay, and let me prove to you that this wasn't just a hookup to me." He rested his hands on my waist, leaning down to kiss my bare shoulder. "It won't take up too much of your time."
I inhaled deeply, "Fine. You have 20 minutes."
I looked over my shoulder, seeing a cheeky grin spread across Draco's lips.
"Perfect," he beamed, resting a hand on my cheek and pulling me in for a forehead kiss. He put on some sweatpants before heading out the door.
I sighed, heading into his bathroom to brush my teeth and clean up a bit. I brushed my hair and wiped off the smudged makeup on my face. Once I appeared relatively put together, I headed out the bedroom and down the stairs.
"No, Dobby, I want you to make an omelette. That's her favorite breakfast food."
I furrowed my brows upon hearing the aggressive whispers coming from the kitchen. I arrived at the doorway to spot Draco reprimanding Dobby, who was standing atop a kitchen stool in front of the stove.
"Busy making me breakfast, huh?" I laughed.
Draco spun around, a dark pink flushing his cheeks as he scratched the back of his neck. "I'm-uh... I'm not the best cook."
"Oh trust me, I remember," I grinned, maintaining eye contact with him for a bit too long.
"Um..." Dobby awkwardly stared between the two of us.
I snapped out of my trance, turning to look at Dobby while Draco cleared his throat and nervously glanced down at the floor.
"What would you like in your omelette, Miss Lin?" Dobby inquired, giving me the most adorable smile.
"Surprise me, Dobby," I grinned back, taking a seat at the kitchen countertop.
"As you wish," he bowed before busying himself at the stove.
Meanwhile, Draco had walked over to the fridge, "Anything to drink, darling?"
"No, I'm alright!" Dobby exclaimed.
"Not you, Dobby," Draco spat, earning a laugh from me and Dobby.
"Just water is fine," I exclaimed, thanking him after he handed me a glass of ice cold water.
Once Dobby had finished making omelettes for me and Draco, he departed the kitchen, leaving the two of us alone.
"Am I doing alright so far?" Draco smirked, raising a glass of water to his lips.
"I mean, I'm skeptical of your intentions, but when am I not?" I smirked, cutting into my omelette.
He tittered, "I promise you. This is my way of fighting for us, Alora. No more polyjuicing or poisoning other people, I swear."
I nodded, still a bit doubtful of him as I took a bite of my breakfast.
"You still don't believe me, do you?" he smirked, leaning back on his chair and tapping his fingertips against the table.
I shrugged, "It's hard to when you still haven't broken up with Astoria."
The smile on his face dropped, and he bit his inner cheek. He took a deep breath and hesitantly nodded his head, "Yeah, yeah... don't worry, I will."
I tilted my head to the side, "Well, that look on your face is making me worry. Is everything okay?"
"Yeah," he brushed me off, taking another sip of his drink. "Everything's fine."
I struggled to read the expression on his face. I wanted to ask him what was going on, but he didn't seem to be in the mood to give answers.
We finished our breakfast in silence, an uneasy tension filling the room every time someone's silverware clinked against a plate.
"Thank you for breakfast," I wiped my mouth with a napkin once I had finished my omelette. "I should go."
He nodded, smiling softly but avoiding eye contact with me as I gathered my belongings and headed out the front door.

"Hey, where have you been?" Theo walked out of the living room to wrap me in a tight hug.
"Got a bit carried away with drinking last night," I scrambled for a lie as I hugged him back. "I was too drunk to apparate, so I crashed at a hotel with some friends."
"I'm sorry for missing the wedding, love," he sighed, holding me a bit tighter. "I know how much Padma means to you, and I feel like absolute shit for missing the most important day of her life."
"No, it's fine," I stated, pulling away from him to kiss him on the cheek. "I should probably shower. I feel so gross–"
"Wait," he said, holding my arm to stop me from going anywhere. "I have a surprise."
I raised an eyebrow, "What?"
He dug something out from his pocket and held two pieces of paper in front of my face. "Two tickets to the upcoming Magpies match!"
I blinked rapidly before acting as pleasantly surprised as I could, "No way! How'd you get those?"
"The Ministry's inviting a few select employees to the match. We'll get to watch from the Minister's box," he grinned from cheek to cheek.
"Oh, that's amazing!" I smiled, giving him another hug as panic rushed through me.
Shit.
