Bismillah
"Hey, I'm Zahra my father's daughter. I'm sassy, classy, and definitely not boring."
My parents mean the world to me especially my mother. Even though I usually take my father's side in everything, my love for her runs deep. I've got three brothers and one sister. They're all cool... but sometimes I just want to strangle them. Total baboons!
"Beab, what are you cooking today? I came to say goodbye I'm heading to work. I love you, take care," he said quickly.
"Okaayyy...? Good luck with your life..." I replied with a dramatic eye-roll.
Ugh. That was my good-for-nothing husband. I still can't figure out why he doesn't get that I just don't like him. He always says things like "You'll love me someday", but come on! I've been waiting forever!
I know I can be a bit much sometimes, but I just can't force myself to feel something I don't. It's not even his fault... but still, I can't help it.
Where was I? Oh yeah, my family.
All my brothers are great, honestly. Even though Jamal is so annoyingly overprotective ugh! he's also my best friend.
"Hey dummy, what are you doing in the kitchen all alone, talking to yourself? Need help?" Jamal whispered in my ear, holding my shoulder.
I jumped and screamed, "Help! Helppp!"
He quickly covered my mouth.
"Shhh! It's me, I was just kidding!" he laughed.
I bit his hand and he pulled it back.
"Ouch! Zahraaa!" he pouted.
"That's for scaring me, you dummy." I rolled my eyes and walked away.
"Wait, wait!" he called after me.
"I texted your husband. He said he'll be home early today. Sup? Falling for him already?" He winked.
I closed my eyes and sighed loudly. Hufff.
As-salaam-alaikum, friends!
