i walk into mine and Spencers bedroom with each of my 3 year old sons under each arm there tiny little legs are wrapped around my waist, Noah is playing with the collar of my shirt and Kai is playing with my glasses that spencer calls my old man glasses.
today is April 11th and that only means one thing it's my beautiful gorgeous wife's 27th Birthday.
spencer is dreading turning 27 because she doesn't want to be as old as me but as i always remind her i'm only a year and a few months older than her but she just huffs.
the boys start squirming in my arms when they see their mommy sleeping in our king sized bed that we got when spencer fell pregnant with the boys 3 years ago so we could cuddle our boys at the same time as cuddling each other.
"mommy mommy" the boys start squirming but i keep my gentle hold on them.
"wait wait boys not yet" i tell them and they just huff dramatically they are definitely Spencers kids.
"but why daddy i want to wish mommy happy birthday" kai groans putting his arms around my neck and nuzzling my neck.
"ye and don't forget about future sissy" Noah says tapping a rhythm on my neck.
yes spencer's pregnant again but this time we planned this pregnancy not saying that we didn't plan the twins but we didn't but that doesn't mean we don't love them just as much. spencer got pregnant at 24 shortly after we eloped for our wedding she gave birth to the twins then 6 months ago we found out we are expecting a baby girl who we decided to name her poppy Marion Cavanaugh we wanted to honour my mother in our daughters name like how we did with the boys we have Noah William Cavanaugh after my grandad and then we had Kai Zachary D Cavanaugh after spencer's grandfather we fell in love with it as soon as we found out we were having a girl.
Ever since we told the boys we were having a baby and they were going to be big brothers they like to say good morning and good night to their little sister every day and me and spencer both love it.
"how could we ever forget about sissy" i said and i saw spencer stretch so i figured it was time to wake her up.
i placed the boys on the bed and they sat in their dinosaur pj's and they stared up at me with their big blue identical eyes.
