Story time, yeah? ok. So, I was watching an old Tom on the Graham Norton Show interview (with Tom Hanks, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jake Gyllenhaal) and you know the part where the Toms are testing Baby Tom's acting skills (would you like a cup of coffee?) Right, so then Jake asks Tom why he did it in an American accent and Tom says he can't act in an English accent anymore. He "did a commercial the other day as Tom Holland" and had to be reminded that he's "from Kingston, by the way," or as we like to say, "from Southwest London, darling."

So. Fast forward like three minutes, and I'm finding that commercial and I found it. It's the video game one with the warrior of darkness. And I can't help but think that Tom's accent sounds vaguely like an American trying to do an English accent. Maybe it's that Tom's voice is hilariously high pitched and it reminds me too much of his Peter Parker, but I can't shake the feeling that Tom's voice in the advertisement isn't really his real voice. But going back to the interview, I think it's interesting that Tom has trouble acting in an English accent now because I feel taken out of it when Tom acts in a non-American accent (except Cherry...that was really good). All of his interviews are obviously with an English accent and seem very British to me and I always think like yep that's what Tom sounds like, but watching Tom act with an English accent now, as a post-Spider-Man actor, seems weird because he is so convincingly American and I mostly watch him as an American character.

Side note: Tom visiting hospitals as Spider-Man? And making stuff up to explain how he does it? The short clip of him visiting the Children's Hospital Los Angeles where he tells the kid he used up all his webs on the way over? When he tells another kid that he's sticky and jams a Sharpie under his webshooter to make it look like it's stuck? Pure genius and adorable and the only thing you need to make your day better.

Side Side Note: Tom reached 45 million and Zendaya reached 99 million...that girl's gonna get 100 million and I am literally going to flip out. Imma point out that in an interview for Homecoming, Tom was explaining his twitter/instagram war with Zendaya. He said that "her whole 40 million fan group" attacked him. So now Tom could look at it two ways. Tom now has more followers than she did, or now if he gets into another twitter/instagram war, he's got nearly 100 million fans who will drag him through the mud.
EDIT: she now has 100m. What the f—! And Tom is climbing hella fast. I'm sure a lot of Z's fans who were not already following him are now.

Triple side note: I am one of those writers who has like eighty different plots in my head and only one ever get written. For the past few days I've been fleshing out reader x Tom's second child and I have plans for her. Major plans. Like...her name is Eila and she's gonna be a really popular singer and get a Grammy or two or three before she's 18. And I wrote her Grammy winning song. I don't write pop music. The melody is much harder to think of because I just improvise and then forget what I sang. And she's gonna be in a Disney Princess movie musical before she's 30 voicing the lead. And I deadass created a plot for that movie (based off the tumblr post below:) you're immortal from 18 until you meet your soulmate. The queen has been killing off her soulmate and they've been getting reincarnated for the past like 200 years. She doesn't want to get old and she wants to rule forever. But she's a good queen. Like a solidly decent queen with a good moral compass and high tolerance for lots of things. Except for soulmates. She doesn't believe in that. Until she finally meets the latest incarnation who is a bamf from another kingdom or maybe is just some random daughter of someone. I had plans that she was the illegitimate daughter of the neighboring kingdoms second son, but idk. And the queen learns that love is ok, being bi is ok (she's been closeted for 100+years and most of her soulmate incarnations have been male) and more importantly, you don't have to be scared of dying. Because she has a fear of dying alone with no one there (she's the queen, anyway. People love her). She probably has residual fear of dying because her parents died separately and tragically (because what's a Disney movie without a tragic backstory). Right...and the queens name is Liliana (formally known as Queen Anne) and the final soulmates name is Anisa. And it's a bi queen x gay soulmate of color movie because it's its like 2050 and that ship had better have sailed.
But don't ask for more details or for me to give you full sorry of it. Or more songs, because it's a musical. That's like a wayyyyyy down the road project. Like when I'm eighty I'll get to it and then it'll be too late.

Quadruple side note: TOM AND ZENDAYA ARE A THING?!?!?!!!!?!??? IM SO HAPPY FOR THEM OMG IVE LITERALLY NOT STOPPED SMILING FOR AT LEAST AN HOUR. YOU KNOW IN THE PICTURES? TOMS HAND IS CUPPING ZENDAYAS NECK/FACE/CHEEK AND IT REMINDS ME OF TODD KISSING VIOLA IN THAT SCENE FROM CHAOS WALKING. BUT GUYYYSSS THEYRE SO CUTE TOGETHER IM LITERALLY SO HAPPY!!!!!!!! I LITERALLYY DONT CARE THAT THERE IS NO TRAILER. MY DAY IS MADE. Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!
As a quick side note lest anyone worry, I never was a Tomdaya shipper, stalker, or stan to the level that some people are. I don't have a Stan account on Instagram to post pictures, and this fic here is specifically Tom x you/random not Zendaya person because I'm not comfortable with shipping celebrities with other celebrities when nothing is confirmed. But I've also had a soft spot on tomdaya and 100% wish them as much privacy as they want. They're cute is all I'm saying. And to know to what lengths people have gone to to get their relationship out in the open really upsets me. Just let them be. Be more passive about other peoples love lives. Be chill. That's it.
