We followed the tracks which led to Terminus. I started falling behind, to the back of the crowd.
I wasn't going to stay with them long, I was going to be leaving. I can't live without him, and I definitely wouldn't be safe around these people if he wasn't there. I needed my babies to be safe, and with me here it definitely wasn't.
I started to walk slower and slower as quiet chatter arose between us.
Finally, I turned down a different path.

I walked for about an hour, and clearly no one had noticed I was missing, because nobody came looking.
I came out to a patch in the woods with a cabin standing in the center.
A car was parked in front of it, a walker sitting in the drivers side.
I headed over to the walker, unsheathing my knife.
I opened up the door, except the walker was already put down, an arrow through his skull.
My heart sped up as I stared down at the 'D.D' carved into the wooden shaft.
