15| Brick Wall

Daryl came home later that day around 4 pm. When he got "home he seemed a little peppier then usual.

"What's with you?" I asked him smirking.

"Oh nothing...." He said as he spun me around in his arms. "Just the fact that Rick and I found barn and country house that is fenced in with brick!" I squealed in happiness and jumped into his arms he caught me easily and kissed me hard. People around us ouhhed and ahhed like they had never seen us kiss. Carl yelled a triumphant "Get a room!" And everyone laughed.

"Alright everyone pack up we are headed for the house in 30!!" Rick yelled in a stern but friendly voice. We all got about to packing and left half an hour later. Daryl and I drove his truck about 15 mins up the road then turned down a dirt road and ended at the gates of the huge barn and farm home. It was surrounded by a 8 foot tall brick fence that was not going to budge. Daryl and Rick said they walked the whole line of the fence and there is about 4 acres that is completely fenced in. I was so happy that we found a secure place where I could have the.... Shit I forgot that I never told Daryl I was pregnant! I let him have his fun with the new house as we all moved in. It was the beginning of October and that would mean we would be there for the winter. My baby would be due in June or July around that time. Daryl and I picked our room and he began to ask me questions.

"What do you think? Do you like it?" He asked. He seemed to wonder if I was comfy a lot. Maybe he just loved me.

"I love it honey! But I think we need to talk..." Tears began to well up in my eyes and Daryl looked worried. He sat next to me on the bed and wrapped his arms around me.

"What's wrong Cam?" He asked frantically.

"I'm so sorry!" I began to uncontrollably cry into his chest and he cradled me like baby. "Daryl..." I breathed. "I'm pregnant!" Shock filled his face then fear and then happiness then back to fear.

"Oh my god. Cam... If you don't wanna keep it I understand..." He said.

"Wait you don't hate me?" I asked shyly.

"Hate you?! Of course I don't hate you! I'm kinda relieved that the women I loved the most in my life is barring my child." Smiled and put his face in the crook of my neck. " If you wanna keep it then we should tell the group. Do you know for sure? I can get you a test!" He smiled led trying to help me as best he could.

"No I used one of Mags'. " I said pulling it out of my pocket and handing it to him. I was still crying. Daryl gave me a tight squeeze them both a hand on each of my shoulders.

"You can do this! You are the most strong, and beautiful women I have met in my entire life! I love you Cameron." He said smiling then he kissed me.

"I love you too. I think we should keep the baby. This place is sake we should be fine here for a while!" I smiled at him.

"Ok babe I can't wait for our little Daryl Jr!!" He laughed.

"If we do have a son we are NOT naming him Daryl Jr!" I laughed and so did he. I felt same here. This place, this farm, was safe and I would love to have my baby here!
