26| Just Wow

I woke up in a familiar place. I knew where I was. I was in mine and Daryls bed room.
Daryl. Where was he?! Last thing I could remember was him fighting off walkers in front of the truck.

He was gone.

"Knock, knock!" Hershil said from out side the door.
"Cmon in!" I said trying to be happy. My leg started to bother me when Hershil walked in. I lifted the blanket and gasped at what I saw on my leg.

I was bit.

"Hershil stay away from me!" I said to him but he only let out a chuckle. Wait why was he laughing?!
"Your going to be just fine Cammy! You've had that bite for 2 days and you have no symptoms! Your immune! You saved Daryls life darling!"
"Wait Daryl is alive!!?"
"Well of course he's alive darling! He fought off a herd of walkers and got bit. Drove back here with you and we found out you were immune. We gave him some of your blood because you have the same type. Like an antidote. Your blood cells killed off the infection!! You and Daryl both surpassed a deathly experience..... Your very luck sweetie." Just then there was a knock at the door. Rick pocked his head in.
"I'm glad your awake. Can I talk to you?!"
"Of course Rick."
"I was going to ask you for the leader position back. I was in a dark place after Lori died but now I realize I need to be here for my kid and my people. If you didn't mind I'd like to be leader again."
"I don't mind a all. It's good to have the old Rick back." He stood to leave.
"Hey Rick can you send Daryl in with the kids."
"No problem Cammy." And with that he left.
Several ministers later Daryl appeared with the babies.
"Hey Boo Bear!" I said smirking.
"Damn it women I thought you would forget about the dumbass nickname!"
"Daryl language! Your holding the kids!!"
"Fuck fuck fuckity fuck fuck!" He said in a baby voice while staring down at Daryl Jr.
"Oh my god...." I said shaking my head and taking Bailey from Daryl.
"I'm glad yer ok. I don't know what I would.."
I cut him off.
"But I'm here now and your here and the kids are here and everyone is ok." I replied kissing his cheek.
"But how long do we get to keep this safety now?" He asked him self out loud.
"I don't know Baby, I don't know."
