Why?

I saw my dad, walking away.

"Wai-" I yelled but got caught off guard when a guard had put his gun next to my head. I ducked, the bullet that he shot got lodged into another guard causing him to collapse. I stand back up, elbowing his head and activated this "laser" feature on my glasses. I cut him in half. Brutal. My dad disappeared, I wanted to go look for him but I saw the guns and went for it. I grabbed all 4 of them. Danny was struggling to fend off one guard that was on his back and one that was on his front.

"Danny!" I yell. He looks my way and holds his hand out for the gun. He catches it and shoots the guy infront of him and swiftly turned around to shoot the guy behind his back.

I looked for Kat and saw her, stabbing someone in the chest with a knife. I was about to call her but felt someone brush on me. I turn and put my ring up to his neck, dropping him.

"Kat!" I yell. I threw the gun at her and she caught it, now fighting with it. To the left of me, I saw Jim, helping Lucas up after Jim helped him knock out someone.

"Jim!" I yell. He didn't look at me at first but I knew I yelled loud enough.

"Jim" I yelled even louder. I caught the attention of Lucas and waved a gun in the air and pointed it at Jim. Lucas motioned to just throw it to him. I was about to until I got thrown to the ground by a guard. I shot him in both eyes at the same time with the two guns. I stood back up, Lucas just shot someone with his pistol. I threw it to Lucas, he caught it. I cant believe Jim was still being petty. Unbelievable. Bodies and bodies filled the floor. I kicked one guard in the knees, he kneeled down and I hit him with the gun really hard on the head. There wasn't much left but none of them were going for me. They all were fighting the others. I looked to the gasoline tanks and aimed my gun at it. Before I could shoot, I was kicked on my side. I slid on the ground, holding my ribs because it really hurt.

"CJ, let's have a one on one talk." Chris walked towards me, slowly. I backed away, still on the floor. I pointed the gun at him and shot but he had blocked it with his arm. His arm had something metal on it. The metal bounced the bullet back and I moved my head fast to the right. The bullet punctured the wall right where my head was. I stood up in a hurry.

"Stop it dad!" I shout.

"So you finally get to see me in action. You know, these are the results of all those secret meetings. Why I would never let you go downstairs." He said proudly.

"I figured." I panted, wiping the blood off my lip.

"You killed William!" I angrily said.

"William?" He questioned.

"And you don't even care enough to have it in your memory!" I scoffed.

"Oh! William! I remember now. He was a bad influence!" Chris defended himself.

"No! He was a great man who was a better man than you have ever been and taught me so much more than you ever did in your life!" I shouted. His neutral face turned into one that looked angry, hurt, and numb. He quickly paced and lifted me, throwing me to the wall.

"Don't ever say that! You ungrateful!" He yelled. I scrunched my nose and tried to hold my pain in. He was about to punch me but I scurried away before then. I reached for my gun but I had dropped it and my dad kicked it away from me. I was defenseless. My dad used his magnet, and it was the ring that started to pull me towards him. This magnet was so strong. I was getting pulled towards him. And once I did, he grabbed a knife and held it in the air.

"Ashamed it had to end this way." He said and his knife was about to hit me till I heard him groan.

"Get away from her!" Kim's threw her knife at the magnet and it hit my dad right in the chest. He was down on the ground. I looked back at everyone, they were all fighting one guard left. Kim came over to me, asking if I was okay.
"Brave you are. So brave." My dad said ripping the knife out of him.

"Shoot the tanks!" Steven yelled in a hurry.

I looked back at everyone, their guns were being pulled by the magnet as well as all of their weapons. Mine too. Everyone was all defenseless.

"How rude of you to kill all my people and come all the way here to stop me! I'm helping the population! You're lucky this place can't be destroyed by the tornado. You're technically 100% saved." He said, getting back up.

"Won't you just quit it!" Danny yelled.

"Never." He went on ranting and degraded us. I felt around in my pockets, feeling something when I remembered I had a grenade. If I threw the grenade at the gas tanks, they would all explode, destroying the weather machine. How do I do this fast enough? While my dad wasn't looking at me, I swiftly grabbed the grenade out my pocket and held it in my hand, hiding it behind my back. I had my hand, ready to set it off and throw it.

"Dad!" I interrupted him. He looked at me, interested.

"I..just..wanted to say that I-.." I could see in my peripheral vision that the others looked at me weirdly but then they saw the grenade I held. I motioned them to start running but kept eye contact with my dad.
"Spit it out!" He said.

"The tornados wiped out 45% all structures!" Steven yelled.
Dinger, Kat, Lucas, and Danny all started running. I set off the grenade and threw it towards the tank. I started running. I looked back at Kim, she was running but got caught by my dad. My dad held her tight in his grasp.

"Kim!" I yelled back.

"CJ! RUN!" Lucas yelled. I looked back at him, he was outside of the building, with the others in a safe space. I looked back to Kim. The last moments I ever saw of her, Kim let out a simple tear. The gas tank blew, causing a massive explosion which then caught an even bigger explosion, to the weather machine. I felt a huge, hot, powerful wave push me back. I was up in the air being launched. Everything felt like slow motion. I looked at Kim, she smiled reassuringly at me. Then everything went back to normal speed. I was launched all the way back, way past Lucas then. I landed in a grass field. The once rainy, stormy; and thundery day cleared to a bright, sunny, and clear day. That was the last thing I saw before I started to feel the pain from the impact. I groaned loudly, trying to sit up but it hurt so much.

"CJ!" I heard Danny yell. I felt a rustling of the leaves and I looked to see Lucas and Kat, hovering over me.

"Are you okay!?" Lucas observed every part of me.

"She's gone." I mumbled.

"I know.." Lucas said sad.

"We don't want to lose you too. So come on." Kat softly said.

I tried to get up but it was just super hard. They saw me struggling.

"Stop. Let me help you." Lucas said. He picked me up bridal style. I would have refused but I could barely walk. I then saw Danny, Dinger and Jim on the other side. The last thing I saw was them running towards me before everything got blurry and I couldn't help but close my eyes. Everything went black.
