8~ Raven

Third Person:

"Cut it out, Adam." Cade says sternly, always irritated by his friends humour, usually because it's always intended to torment him.

Adam works for Cade, along with Derrick too, but that doesn't mean years of being work partners can't turn into a preposterous, fanatical friendship.

"I know you, man. You try act all 'mister heartless dude' despite your job you're just a normal guy.. so let yourself be one once in a while." Adam mocks.

Cade's teeth captured his lower lip, the white pearls sinking into the skin in contemplation. He came to the conclusion rather quickly, Kelly couldn't have anything to do with Anissa, of course Kelly is her daughter but in a lot of cases, that doesn't mean anything. Knowing it's wrong he seized an innocent girl, apart of him likes having such a presence around him.

Kelly wandered around the garden, it looked more like a field, however the radiant burst of jewel-toned colours is something that has always caught her eye.. so of course, she's exploring.

She's always had a love for flowers, who doesn't? Her home always had a large vase filled with them.

She wanted the horrid image of a bleeding-out dead man to be erased. She couldn't get the sight out of her head and she's never witnessed something like that before. It made the fear of her own life increase immensely.

Her hand flew to her thigh, just above her knee and she hissed harshly, forcing her teeth to clash together.

Grabbing the needle-like thing, she yanked it out of her leg, looking around in confusion and fear but no one was to be seen.

She ran with a slight limp back to the building, hiding.

The second she stepped foot back inside, she leant her body on the large doors and caressed the sore area above her knee with her palm to try suppress the sting.

Luckily it was not a bullet but some kind of small needle with a clear pod attached to the end of it that someone had aimed directly at her, not enough to seriously harm her.

"What the Hell."  She whispered to herself, taking a close look at the item. She opened the pod hesitantly and a very small pendant fell out.

"A Raven?" she muttered softly.

As you can imagine, Kelly's mind was spinning with questions but the first thing she did was run to find the others.

She exhaled deeply, catching her breath and holding the small Raven pendant up, the ornament aligning with her neck.

"I uhm, wha-"

She stopped, cut herself off completely and slowly stepped back with wide eyes. She's surprised no one else can hear the sound of her heart pumping at the most rapid rate, it was going crazy.

There Cade stood, Adam stood not too far away from him. However, Cade had his gun pointing right at Kelly.

She was confused and frightened, he said he wouldn't kill her. Although his expression didn't show any inkling of anger, for the first time Kelly could see what was going through his mind at that moment by the look on his face.
