Kelly's POV:

Hours passed after that.

Earlier in the kitchen, Cade randomly switched up and told me he has work to do and I instantly felt like a prisoner again.

I don't understand, I was kidnapped, and when the person who did it is actually around me, It makes me feel less like a prisoner. It sounds so stupid and I know i'm crazy.

I spent a lot of time in 'my' room the whole day just staring at the wall, the ceiling, the floor just anything really, reflecting on my whole life. Thinking about how my life has led up to this, thinking about my mom and thinking about Cade.

He has a very strange affect on my mind.

I needed to stretch my legs, I needed to do something I'm literally going crazy.

I decided to get my ass out of that room and walk around this place because I have nothing else to do.

Next door to my room, was obviously another and I probably shouldn't be going in any of them because God knows what's in there but boredom is driving me insane.

I pushed the handle down and sighed in defeat when it was locked.

"Snooping are we?" Cade mutters from behind me leaning against the wall.

I jumped, "Oh my God." I whispered under my breath.

Always there.

"You don't have anything better to do?" I finally asked, turning to face him.

"Yes."

"Then why are you here?"

He looked at me like the answer was obvious.

"Because of you."

My breath caught.

"That's not a real answer," I said, softer this time.

"It's the only one that matters."

Something in my chest tightened, and I hated how much weight his words carried.

The air shifted again—thick, charged, too familiar now.

"Why me?" I asked, my voice barely steady.

His gaze dropped to my lips.

Slowly. Deliberately.

And when it came back up, something in it had changed.

"Do you really want me to answer that?" he murmured.

My pulse was pounding so hard it felt like it might give me away.

"Yes," I said, even though I wasn't sure I meant it.

He moved closer.

One step.

Then another.

Until I was the one backing up this time, until my back hit the door I tried opening moments earlier. There was that feeling again. Trapped, but not in the way I should've been afraid of. His hand came up, resting beside my head, just like last night.

Not touching, But close enough.

"You don't stop," he said quietly. "You push. You fight. You look at me like I'm something you refuse to understand."

My breath hitched.

"And that should make me want to keep my distance," he continued.

"But it doesn't."

The space between us felt impossibly small now.

"Cade—" I started, but his name came out softer than I intended.

It almost sounded like I was giving him some kind of warming, I don't know what for.

"I've been exercising restraint," he said, his voice lower, rougher than before. "Since the moment I brought you here."

My heart skipped.

"I never wanted to come here, definitely not unwillingly." I whispered.

"I know."

His gaze flicked between my eyes and my lips again, slower this time, like he wasn't even trying to hide it anymore.

"And that's the problem."

I should've pushed him away. I should've said something sharp, something cutting—something to remind both of us what this was.

But I didn't. I just stood there, breathing the same air.

Waiting.

That was all it took.

His hand moved, he latched onto my hip and slowly slid his hand all the way up my body until he reached my face, and glides a finger down my jawline.

My breath caught, nobody has ever made me feel like this. I've never been touched this way and enjoyed it.

"Tell me to stop," he said quietly.

The words hung between us. I opened my mouth but nothing came out. And that was enough, he closed the distance by slamming his lips straight onto my own, as if it's what he'd been waiting to do.

His mouth was punishing, slamming against mine, savage and raw.

It felt like it was everything he'd been holding back—controlled intensity breaking just enough to feel it. His hand tightened slightly against my jaw, tilting my head as my hands instinctively found his shirt gripping like I needed something to steady myself.

My first kiss.

My heart was racing, my thoughts completely gone as the tension that had been building all day, maybe longer, finally snapped.

He bit my bottom lip and I sighed, enjoying every second of it.

His tongue slid into my mouth, exploring every corner and every inch like he needed to taste me.

My tongue collided with his, trying its best to keep up. I've never kissed any body and I hope he's enjoying it as much as I am.

For that moment, everything else disappeared.

No mansion.

No kidnapping.

Just heat. Pressure. The way he pulled back slightly, just enough to look at me—like he was making sure this was real.

Like I was.

He pulled away, my breath came out unsteady and I was stood there in shock with red, plump and wet lips.

I felt a tingling sensation between my legs so instinctively, I squeezed them together. I'd never felt it before but I knew it was normal.

"That was a very bad idea." He whispered, out of breath.

I didn't even react or reply, I just stared up at him in disbelief and he wiped my bottom lip with his thumb.

"What the fuck are you doing to me, Kelly?"

Am I getting feelings for my kidnapper?
