26. The calm before the storm.

Zhan's Pov.

Noah was gone.

I was extremely sad, but I can't change the destiny and rules of nature.

And just like me, Yibo was sad as well, he tried his best to not show his pain but after living with him for many days I understand him well.

Both of us didn't sleep till very late at night, we just cuddled each other and talked about Noah, that innocent soul had made a deep impact on us.

Since it was Sunday, Yibo decided to sleep for a long, while I made some breakfast for him and did some cleaning before coming to the cafe to meet Zhishu.

So here I was sitting in the cafe, waiting for Zhishu to show up while going through the menu.

"I am sorry did I make you wait long?" Zhishu said as he sat in front of me.

"No, not all I was just about to order something."

"Yes please, It's too hot outside I'll take something cold."

I did as he said and gave our orders, Zhishu took a sip from his shake and sighed with relief.

"It's perfect." He said and then shoved his hand in the pocket before taking out a bottle from it.

"Here you go as promised," he said and handed over the bottle to me.

"Thanks."

"You can drink it in one go, but that does not mean your memory will come back instantly it at least takes two hours to kick in."

"Thanks a lot, Zhishu." I said and took the bottle from his hands before keeping it in my pocket.

"No problem Zhan, by the way where is Noah?"

"Oh, Yibo exorcised him yesterday."

"Ah, may his soul rest in peace ."

"Amen."

"So what are you going to do once you get your memory back ?"

I didn't reply, I just took a long sip from my shake and sighed, "Well, I will probably look for the person who landed me into this mess."

"Good luck with that."

Zhishu finished his milkshake, "You know my sister used to love milkshakes a lot, she would this as well, she would snatch my milkshake after finishing hers and then finish it in one go before I could an anything."

I smiled gently, "you can take some for her as well."

"I would if I could." he said and I looked at him confusingly, "She is dead."

"Oh." I said, "H..how?"

"um...my family was a ritual one day and something went wrong and she died."

"Oh, I am sorry for your loss."

"Well I am over it, but I still miss her sometimes."

Time passed quickly, I enjoyed Zhishu's company a lot, maybe I should bring Yibo to meet him as well someday.

"By the way what's the name of your sister?"

"A-Xiang."

I froze at my place, A-Xiang?

"Zhan, hey everything okay."

"Yeah, everything is fine."

Zhishu smiled, "Well, I'll leave now, make sure you drink that potion and remember it will show effect two hours later."
