49. Too Late

Kexing's mind has completely stopped working.

He just can't comprehend the fact that his brother was possibly back, after so many years of waiting and agony when he finally gave up the idea that maybe his brother was alive.

Why now.

Kexing had a frown on his face and his eyebrows were knitted together as well when he came down, his movements were stiff and his gaze was cast downwards.

"Come on have some soup," Zhan said with a smile he was already seated at his place while Kexing was finding it difficult to even look at Zhan.

Zhan of course noticed the obvious change in Kexing and he thought that maybe Kexing does remember what he said last night.

Kexing's change of mood is completely understood by Zhan. 

"um..."

"I remember," Kexing said immediately, he wanted to escape this feeling of suffocation and awkwardness, and the best way to do that would be to just confront Zhan.

Zhan also stopped whatever he was doing.

"Are you my brother?" kexing asked in a firm voice, "MY elder Brother Wen Zhan?"

Zhan closed his eyes and took a deep breath before nodding slowly.

Kexing got up from his seat abruptly and so did Zhan, "When...Just when did you..."

"Yesterday, when I had called A-qing"

"How did she know?" Kexing asked.

Zhan sighed, "Kexing I had already told you that I had these dreams where I had playing with a kid by the same name as you Kexing. So when we met at the bar that day I had my suspicion because not just your name but your face your smile everything matched the kid

So...When I took you home I took a sample of your hair, and then gave it for a DNA test...the results just came out   yesterday..."

Kexing sighed, "Wow...you had a doubt since long back huh?"

"Why now?" Kexing said, "After so many years why now?"

 "Kexing I..."

"I CAN'T EVEN GET MAD AT YOU!!!" Kexing suddenly yelled, "Because you lost your memories how convenient right?"

Zhan sighed, this was bound to happen, Kexing's anger and frustration were obvious.

Kexing took a deep breathe, "Your story makes sense now...your boyfriend, whose parents were killed, and he had a neighbor with coincidently two kids...they were killed as well...and 

Once again coincidentally they were exorcists and the neighbors were necromancers...and...they had at the by the hands of mages ...just like my own story, one kid went missing and the other was adopted by those killers..."Kexing said as he pointed at Zhan, 

"You were raised by the killer of your own parents."

Zhan took deep breathes, no matter how many times someone calls Eleanor and Victor a killer for Zhan they were his parents the only parents he remembers till now.

So no matter how much anyone curses them criticizes them Zhan can't bring himself to hate them, but that doesn't mean he will stop anyone else from hating them or criticizing the

"I am the mad one ger actually," Kexing said, "Like there were so many coincidences, your name is Zhan same as my brother, your boyfriend's name is Yibo and there was someone I now knew by that name

You are a necromancer and your boyfriend is an exorcist, THERE WERE SO MANY CLUES AND I TURNED BLIND EYE TO THEM"

"Kexing please just..."

"I don't want to hear anything," kexing said, "I have had enough for today...I am done Zhan..you..you are too late  I don't want you in my life anymore..."

"No Kexing please...."

"Leave"

"Kexing I..."

"I SAID LEAVE..." Kexing said and glared at Zhan, "I DON'T WANT YOU HERE SO JUST GO...GET LOST I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR FACE YOU ANNOY ME ...FUCK OFF"

Zhan sighed, and clenched his fist, "Fine I will leave for now...but just before I go all I want to say is I am sorry Kexing...I still don't have my memories so I don't know what exactly happened that day.

But I am sorry for leaving you alone...and Kexing, I understand if you don't need me but please don't cut me off...because I need you...I am not as strong as you so...I need my brother..."

And with a last glance, Zhan quietly left.

Author's note: What a chapter this was, so one more chapter left, and then we will have fifty chapters. 

I am feeling a little down lately that's why the updates have become less frequent, I will try my best to complete this story, but am lacking motivation.
