Madi's P.O.V

When I had made it to the couch, Lizzie had a glass of wine waiting for me in her hand. I sat down next to her. Our legs brushing. Once I was settled she handed me the glass and I took a large swig.

She smirked at me and grabbed the remote, turning on some trash tv. She frowned and flipped through the apps on my smart TVs till she found Spotify and turned on some music.

Satisfied with her selection, she turned back and locked eyes with me while drinking her wine. There was just something so attractive about the way she drank her wine.

"So, what else are you good at? You can cook, you can sing, you drive a motorcycle. Apparently you're a mathematical genius. What else is there?" She asked with a smile

"Well seeing as I have a degree in architectural engineering, I'm pretty good at drawing. I have to be to be able to draw the layouts and designs. But recreational drawing is something I enjoy." I said

"Can I see some?" She asked sincerely

"Uh yea, give m a second, I'll go get them." I replied finishing my glass and handing it to Lizzie

I got up and walked upstairs to my office to grab my portfolio with all of my drawings. Taking a deep breath I stood there for a moment. I wanted this girl. I'd never wanted anyone so badly before in my life. But I didn't want to ruin what we had already.

She wasn't just some fling for me. I was serious.

Breaking out of my thoughts I walked downstairs and back over to Lizzie to see that she had poured another glass of wine for me.

I sat down and opened my portfolio, handing it to her so she could look through it.

I studied her face as she skimmed through my drawings. Every twitch of her eyebrow and raise of her lips. The scrunch of her nose when she saw a drawing she liked. I was hopeless. I'd only known this woman for a few days and she already had me hooked.

"I like this one a lot" she suddenly spoke up

I peered over to see what drawing she was talking about and smiled

"That was one of the very first drawings I ever did. I didn't have the heart to throw it away when I did spring cleaning" I explained

She smiled at my response and kept looking before coming to a stop on another one.

"This is beautiful Madi." She said in awe
