Lizzies P.O.V
The week passed by in a blur. It was filled with interviews and talk shows. I barely had any time to see Maddie during it all. But I made sure to text her 24/7. After dinner Saturday and spending the day with her Sunday, we were practically inseparable. Figuratively of course due to our crazy schedules.
I kept pestering her to tell me where were going but she wouldn't budge. She said it was a surprise. I told her that it didn't have to be anything extravagant, that it could be simple. She said she had it covered and that she was sure I'd love it.
The way Maddie made me feel, even over text was indescribable. I woke up every day to a good morning text that I would promptly answer. The we would continue to talk throughout the day. And come late nights, even if she had a set, there was always a goodnight text with the promise of talking again tomorrow.
Saturday morning finally rolled around and I couldn't be more excited. I took a shower first thing and went ahead and somewhat got my hair ready. I'd finish it later. I was digging through my closet for something to lounge in when my doorbell rang.
I ran downstairs hoping it was Maddie but when I opened the door there was no one there. The was however a large bouquet of flowers on my porch with a card addressed to me. I smiled picking up the flowers and brought them inside to my kitchen. Opening the card I immediately recognized Maddies delicate handwriting.
'Good morning gorgeous. Plan to dress casual for tonight. It's going to be a warm one. Don't worry about a thing, I have it all taken care of. Just bring your cute self to my house @6:30 tonight. I can't wait to see you.
Yours Truly,
Madison M.
P.S. I still don't like being called Madison. But I can make an exception for you. :)'My cheeks were hurting from smiling so much. She was absolutely perfect. Nobody had ever made this much effort for me before. She did it and made it seem like it was the easiest most natural thing in the world to her.
I made sure to send Maddie a thank you text in detail gushing over how pretty the flowers were. The text I got back made my heart skip a beat.
'Anything for you beautiful. You deserve the world. I can't wait to see you later. 🖤🖤'
I swear I wanted to squeal like a little girl. I wasted my day away picking an outfit for tonight and finishing my hair. 6 o'clock rolled around and I was putting the final touches on my look. I hoped Maddie would like it but knowing her, I knew she would.
I made my way over to Maddies house at 5 till and walked through the back door. I could hear music coming from upstairs and giggled at the fact that it was playing so loud. Walking upstairs to her room, her door was wide open and she was dancing like a goof in the middle of her room.
I watched silently at how cute she was. When the song was over I clapped my hands and Maddie whirled around with her hand on her chest, startled.
"Jesus Lizzie, you scared me." She laughed
"My bad. You were cute so I didn't want to interrupt your jam session." I teased
She shook her head with a huff before walking up to me. Her hands gripped my waist and pulled me closer. Our noses brush against each other.
