"Your sword is here, y/n! What color do you think it's gonna be?" Maya laughed, barging into my room. Shes only a year older, and a maid of the house, as well as the closest thing I have ever had to a friend, except from Kiwi
"Its probably gonna be an ugly vomit green or maybe a poop brown" Kiwi laughed
"Want me to shove you in a toilet so you can tell?"
"You cant treat me like that!"
"You bet I can" I rolled my eyes and ran out, where I found a man with a clown mask muttering something about Crimson Sand
"Lets go see what you get, demon kid. I will be mad if you are another fake red, like that other kid! I had high hopes but it was just a useless black!"
"How do you know about me?"
"I KNOW MY CLIENTS! NOW OPEN IT" he yelled and shoved the sword right on my face
"Whatever, you creepy old man" I rolled my eyes and opened it, the sword instantly turning red. Obanai burst out laughing, Kiwi following him soon enough, while the old man was shaking to the bone
"You- Im gonna kill you" he yelled and lunged t me, but ended up only hitting the floor
"What? Its red, what do you want from me?"
"Bright red is best, normal is good but at this filthy colour, its as if you have painted it with blood! It even has a dripping blod patern, you might as well die on your first mission"
"Shes not going to die, I have tried killing her many times already. If a normal demon can kill her then shes just stupid" Obanai shrugged and walked away, leaving the old man raging
"You have to go to Asakusa, Tokyo! Asakusa, Tokyo, your first mission is in--"
"We got it birdbrain, now leave us"
"Im her crow, I have to guide her to the missions. You can just stay here"
"Well sorry to break it to you, but we go together. We are a duo, and we sure as hell dont need to become a trio" Kiwi scoffed, jumping on my other shoulder
"Jealous fox, lets just go"
"Im here too now, you are just mad you cant compete kitty cat"
"I will shove your feathers so far up your ass, you--"
"Alrighty, the old man was too angry to tell, but whats up with the blade crow?"
"So he has a name but I dont?"
"...Fine, im gonna call you Banana"
"Kiwis are better tho--"
"Thats because Kiwi is a beautiful fox while you are a just a pretty bird. Now spit it out already before you become tonight's dinner"
"If you take it as red, it usuallyh matches cheerful personalities--"
"Yeah, there is no way you can take it as red. Shes anything but cheerful"
"Yea, I guess its got to do something with my breathing technique" I shrugged, letting my ears, tail and claws appear once I reached deep into the forest
"You should hurry, the demon slayer there is in trouble"
"Ah, there go my hopes for a solo fight. I hope its somebody reasonable this time"
"His name is Tanjiro Kamado"
"Oh fuck me" I groaned and started running
I got there about an hour later, and spotted Tanjiro there, fighting two demons; But that didnt make sense, I could smell five demon scents there. I sneaked inside the house, next to him, finding a female demon, holding a headless one. And then there was the same demon's scent he had all over him the other day.
"Oi hard head, watch out!" I yelled, slashing a temari that was about to hit his head from behind him
"Y-Y/n-chan?!" he yelped
"The one and only. Why are you always in trouble?"
"Hey, human, wear this so you can see the arrows--"
"I can see them already. Tanjiro, get the temari girl. Im going to find the one giving directions"
"Y/n no, dont go alone out there--"
"Oh shut up, it will be fine. Dont follow me!" I yelled, leaving Kiwi infront of the demons to call me for help if needed
I found the demon on the tree, getting attacked by another demon; The one Tanjiro is with, but he sent her away easily and jumped down from his place
"Annoying, I was hoping for a one on one. But now I will have help..." I sighed, grbbing Tanjiro by the collar as he flew besides me
"Dont try to slash the arrows, genius" I rolled my eyes
"I can handle him, I found a way! Please go help my sister!" Tanjiro whisper yelled before running up to the demon again, this time without getting thrown around
By the time I reached her, all the arrows had dissapeared. Guess hard head didnt die yet, but the temari attacks had gotten more frequent, and the air was so full of dirt we could barey see. Until Nezuko pulled me back and started kicking the ball back and fourth with the demon
"Stand back you two. Y/n, dont breath as much as you can. There is no way Nezuko can beat her if she goes full out"
"Oh man, I shoulds have killed the arrow guy. Now im useless" I pouted as Lady Tamayo made the other demon say his name, and she slowly died
"You should get in before the sun arises, along with Nezuko"
"Im not a demon, but I guess I can crry her inside. Come up Kiwi, we will leave right aw--"
"The petty banana bird is here" Kiwi growled
"Awesome, then I will be leaving first. Nice to meet you too"
"Wait- Y/n, what are you?"
"...A halfbreed, but that will be our secret" I winked
"DONT GO OFF TELLING PEOPLE THAT" Kiwi screamed into my ear
"Fuck off--"
"The demon thats your parent.."
"My father was the Fox Demon, he was eleventh among the twelve demon moons. But he was killed a long time ago, because of me"
"Then... could you give us a bit of your blood?"
"LET ME KILL THEM. I WILL BITE THEIR NECKS OFF"
"Kiwi if you dont shut it, I swear to god im travelling the bird. Nezuko is cute, so yeah sure, I dont see a reason why not" I shrugged
"South- Southeast follow Tanjiro! South--"
"SHUT UP DAMNIT! WHY AM I STUCK WITH HARD HEAD?!"
