You showed up at Joe's restaurant after making a reservation. His workers blinked at you and seemed to whisper amongst themselves.
"Is that the girl Joe mentioned?"
"I sure hope so, joe seemed to be on edge all morning, we better treat her nicely, joe might fire us if we fail him."
Don't tell them you can hear them... Don't tell the- "Hey, don't worry, joe won't fire you guys."
"Crap! She heard us." One hissed. He shook his head and bowed. "I'm so sorry miss, please follow us."
You did as they asked following them, they lead you to a back room. Where you saw Joe. He was tapping his shoe and biting his thumb nail. "That's a nasty habit."
"Oh!" Joe jumped putting his hand behind his back. "Sorry."
"It's fine, at least you're not a smoker, I couldn't stand Adam as a teen." You laughed.
"You smoked, hypocrite." He chuckled.
"Mm, only Mary Jane, he smoked cigs, they smell awful and are so bad for your health." You sighed.
"Mary Jane smells worse." He smiled. "Here, sit."
"....You're not gonna be treating me like a customer are you? Because I might just laugh at you and mock you for the rest of my time on this planet." You giggled.
"No, you're not a regular customer." He shook his head giving somewhat of a nervous laugh. "I completely took the day off when I saw your reservation."
"Wow that's, sweet." You said awkwardly messing with the napkin cloth. "I just realized I have never been to your restaurant and have no experience in Italian food beyond olive garden."
"Well, if you want something you'll like I can help you pick, I know your taste in food pretty well." Joe smiled.
"....Aww, you have menu items named after Cherry and I." You giggled reading them over.
"They're full blown meals, appetizers, drinks, meals and desserts." He laughed. "Cherry actually orders that one as his regular."
"That's really sweet of you." You sighed happily. "I'm sorry, I just, this is making me really happy, give me a second to read mine over."
Yours made your stomach make twirls. You had a sweet alcoholic drink that Joe had made for you and you tested when you were teens, cheese filled garlic bread bites, Pasta Carbonara, and a dessert of tiramisu.
"Tiramisu is a coffee based dessert, it's like a sponge cake, I thought you'd like it, and I chose kinda the easier choices for appetizer and main course because I know you don't know much Italian food... And then there's the drink I made you." He chuckled.
"...I can't believe you sell that drink." You giggled. "Does it ever sell?"
"Once in a blue moon." He grinned.
"Can I have the Atomic?" You asked. "It's been a second since you've made me food, I almost forgot you were a chef, joe."
