Over the next few weeks, Steve healed slowly from the wounds that the human body needed to do itself rather than the help from Jess. Billy currently drives Steve to school, as he did every day since then.
"Billy, I'm fine. I can drive myself to school you know." Steve says as Billy opens Steve's door so he can get out. "Yes, I know but am I not allowed to drive my boyfriend to school?" Billy asks, holding Steve close to him by the hips. Steve looks at him unconvinced. Billy sighs. "Fine," he says. "I just need to know your okay." he was quieter this time, looking down bashfully.
Steve placed a hand on his cheek and kissed him, letting him know he wasn't angry and it was all okay. "Only one more day of this and then graduation. Then we can get out of here and go wherever we want." Steve practically whispers to him, wrapping his arms around his shoulders.
"Last time we talked about it-"
"That was a long time and a kind of breakup ago." Steve smiled. "But we can figure that out later, I'm going to be late for class. How am I supposed to graduate if I'm not there the last day?" He says when Billy tries to pull him back. Billy groans and successfully pulls him back towards him. "Just one more." He said, kissing Steve's jaw and neck.
Steve rolls his eyes and pecks him, Billy growling. "That's not a real one."
Steve smirks. "More to look forward to when I get out. See you at 2:30!" Steve says, jogging into the school as the bell rings.
Billy smirks back and watches his ass as he walks away. Steve enters his first class of the day, droning out the teacher as they talk on and on about the future.
"Psst." Heather presses her leg to Steve's trying to get his attention. "You going to the grad party at Stacy's tonight? It will be funnnn," she whispers, Steve smiles. "If there cheap beer and food, I'm there."
She cheers happily, immediately texting Robin about it.

The last bell of Steve's school career, all of the students flying out. All anxious to get to Stacy's party. Steve cleaned out his locker and walked out of the building without one look back. Most of the students were gone or on their way. Steve saw Robin and Heather making out by the school entrance. He chuckled and walked over to where Billy was waiting for him.
"Well if it isn't Steve Harrington, Hawkins High graduate," he said, putting out his cigarette. Steve does a bow and soon if pulled flush to Billy's body. Steve places his hands on Billy's chest, messing with the buttons of his button-up.
"How's it feel to be free?" Steve smiles and kisses Billy roughly, pulling him impossibly closer. "Feels really fucking good." Steve answers, Billy smirking and kissing the smaller boy again. "Let's celebrate before the party?" Steve asks, pulling a tiny bottle of whiskey. He shoots it down, his face formulating a disgusted one momentarily.
"This will be the best night of your life, pretty boy."
The rest of the day went on with occasional drinking and making out before the boys had to get ready. "No, baby- it is supposed to be a surprise," Steve whined, Billy not being able to leave the room since he has insisted on kissing and touching him everywhere. "Come on, pretty boy. 'Wanna watch you change." he says seductively.
After a few more minutes of trying to shoo Billy off, Steve is successful and shuts his door. "I'll be out here pretty boy. Just waiting all alone." He said, Steve could hear the fake pout in his voice. "Oh hush."
He made sure to take his time getting ready despite Billy's impatience. He slipped on a black button-up and tight blue jeans. He started to do his hair, Billy growing more impatient by the minute. "Steveeeee," Billy begged from the other side. "I got dressed in the time you were in there, come on."
