It's been about four months since Billy turned Steve, and he has gotten used to it fast. After the first week, he connected with Robin and Heather and he behaved himself. Billy couldn't be prouder of Steve, and he loved him even more.

"Billy, why do you have this?" Steve turned and held up sparkly high heels for Billy to see. He immediately laughed when he saw them, remembering everything that came with them. "Oh these!" He said, walking over and holding them up. "These are from the '60s, my friend June Bronx made me perform with her and she got me these bad boys."

Steve stared at him in awe. "You were a drag queen? The big bad Billy Hargrove?" Steve asked, a hand on his heart in shock. "Yes, pretty boy, for one night. And I'm not that bad," he says, pulling the other into his chest. "But I am big, though."

Steve cackles and gently slaps his chest. "Come on, help me get these boxes." he laughs, carrying one to the Uhaul attached to the Camaro.

"Shit Harrington I'm gonna miss you," Robin sniffed, hugging Steve's neck tightly. Steve chuckled wetly, tears growing in his eyes. He hasn't left Hawkins in his life, let alone Robin. "It's okay though, I'm gonna see you when you go to college in the fall," he said, hands bracing his shoulders. "But it's so far away!" She wailed again, hugging him once more. He hated leaving her, and so did she. But she knew also he hasn't been this happy in a long time.

Maybe ever.

While Steve hugged Heather goodbye, Robin walked over to Billy. She did not hesitate to gather him in a tight hug, a deep laugh erupting from him. The boys made eye contact while being nearly crushed by the girls' force. Robin pulled back with a more serious look on her face. "Hargrove if I hear from Steve that anything goes wrong or if you screw this up I will chop your dick off and feed you to the wolves," she says, a very unthreatening finger in his face.

"Okay, Rob, I think he gets the gist." Steve laughed, coming over to save Billy. "I'm going to miss you guys!"She said, swinging both her arms around the both of them. "we are going to miss you right back, Robin. I'll call you every day." Steve said as she released them. "I know, but one last picture." She ran over to the house to set up her phone putting on a ten-second timer.

"Everyone say pumpkins!" Steve smiled at the reference.

"PUMPKINS!"

"Leaving Hawkins

Come Again Soon"

Steve read the large white words as they passed it, a breath he didn't know he was holding escaping finally. He looked over at Billy, the man he was going to spend his life with.

He had gotten a haircut so his hair was shorter, but Steve missed his long locks. His ocean blue eyes focused on the road, one hand on the steering wheel and one on Steve's thigh. His mouth moved with the lyrics of some random song playing on the radio but no sound came from him.

He was in love. Real love for the first time in a very long time.

His phone dinged and immediately smiled. RObin had just sent him the picture they took before they left. Her eyes were closed, Heather's mouth was wide open, and Steve's face held a very unfortunate expression. "Oh my god, look at this." Steve showed him the photo and Billy took a quick glance.

"I look gorgeous."

Steve giggled and smacked his arm playfully. Billy smiled at him and gave his cheek a quick kiss. "Are you excited to be going back to California?" Steve asked, quickly texting Robin thanks. "Hell yeah, man I haven't been to Cali in forever. When we left after my mom, we were just drifting everywhere. I never really had a home. Not until you." He replied. He took a quick glance at Steve before looking back onto the road.

Steve's eyes watered and he hit the blonde's shoulder. "Shut up, You're going to make me cry asshole."

Billy chuckled deeply and squeezed his thigh. "Okay, okay. As you wish."

After a very long drive, they finally made it to Billy's hometown in Cali. Steve was silent, taking in the new scenery. "I had Jess call ahead and set us up in an apartment by the water, thought you'd like that. He says as they walk up to a little, quaint complex. He squeezed Billy's arm with a bright smile. "It's beautiful."

"HARGROVE?!"

They turn to see two men walking slowly towards them. Billy pulls away to smile widely and clap his hands once before beckoning them over. "It's so good to see you, man! It's been years!" The taller one said. He had short dark brown hair, dark skin, six-pack abs, carrying a surfboard in one hand and a beach tote with the other. He dropped his things to give Billy a very 'manly' hug. The other one joined in. He had bright blonde hair, matching the sand, icy blue eyes, and was a little larger than the other one.

"Man, I didn't even know you guys were still around!" Billy said, crossing his arms. "Yeah, Derek and I decided to stick around after you got outta dodge, liked the scenery too much." The sick pack said, gesturing to the ocean. "Yeah right, you just like the chicks in bikinis."

"Fuck off, I'm a ladies' man."

The blonde laughed and Billy joined along. "Ahem." Steve raises an eyebrow. Billy turns, thinks for a sec, then realizes with a smile. He makes a 'come here' motion with his finger and Steve obliges. "Guys, this is my boyfriend Steve, Steve this is Derek and Chris. A few supernatural buddies from my past."

Chris' eyes widen. Billy chuckles. "He knows dude. Baby, show 'em."

As if on queue, Steve's fangs show, and his eyes glow light red. "Alrighty then, never mind. Well, I'm a werewolf and Derek here is a warlock."

Derek walked to Steve and shook his hand. "Hargrove you finally got one huh," Chris said, patting Billy's back. Steve laughed as Billy went over to him to wrap his arms around his waist. "Hell yeah, I did." He said, kissing Steve. Both Chris and Derek began fake vomiting and Billy pulled aware to glare. Steve let his face fall into Billy's chest with a smile.

Over the next few months, Steve learned and progressed with being a creature of the night. He texted with Robin and Heather often, Jess coming to stay with them from time to time. Billy had never been more in love than he is now. And He tells him each and every day.
