Billy has been gone for about two days. Two excruciating long days. Steve doesn't know how many texts and calls Billy has ignored by now, he just sulks in his bed playing the playlist Billy made him. It had a lot of cliche love songs from the 70's and '80s, Billy's favorite decades. He sighed and replayed their last conversation in his head over and over.

Robin ended up coming over, talking him into having a girls and gays night with her and Heather. "Come on dingus, all you are doing is waiting for Billy to answer so might as well make it fun."

He had been bullied into participating, letting them paint his nails a dark purple, his favorite color,  did his mascara, and messed his hair.

"This isn't helping my mood, if anything it's making it worse," Steve lies with a chuckle and Heather works on the nails and Robin on the hair. "Yeah, whatever Stevie. turn your head to the side." Steve huffed and did as he was told, smiling a little at his best friends trying his best to cheer him up.

Although Billy was reading the texts and listening to the voicemails, like an idiot, he didn't respond. He thought Steve was crazy for wanting to be like him, Billy isn't special. He thought Steve was in a haze, wanting this just because Billy protected him or something.

Pretty boy ❤️: billy please we can talk about this

Pretty boy ❤️: come on baby please it's not a big deal

Pretty boy ❤️: please just let me know you are okay

Pretty boy ❤️: i miss you

"Fuck." Billy groans, what the hell is he supposed to say? Steve didn't really do anything wrong, if anything Billy was in the wrong for abandoning his pretty boy like that. He sighs and walks around the quarry, pacing back and forth.

"You are an idiot you know that?" He stops and turns around, seeing Jess sitting on the hood of his car. "Shut up. Not the time." he snaps, earning a lifted brow from her. He sighed and walked over, joining her on his auto. "I'm sorry- I don't mean to be rude." he apologized, running his hands over his face.

"Don't apologize to me, asshole. Apologize to the guy who deserves it." He looked over at her and sighed again. "I can't do it, I can't be like my dad."

"You didn't ask for it, you didn't want it. You got that choice taken from you so you think it's a bad one. Are you really naive to the fact he wants this because of you?" Jess asks, fully facing him in a crisis cross position. "He loves you so much it's sickening, so much in fact that he wants to spend the rest of eternity with you of all people. I know that's what you're thinking right now."

His eyes are shining in the moonlight when he turns back to her. "He doesn't know what it's like. He's going to lose interest and hate me for doing this to him in the end. Besides, he doesn't have anything to protect him from the Sun."

Jess stopped him from his freakout and grabbed his jaw roughly, placing two rings into his hand. They both had a purple gem inside surrounded by gold. "Shut up and take these, get in your car, and go tell him everything. The last time he saw you, you were angry and seemed like you hated him. Go talk to him." She says, poking a finger into his chest.

He nods and sighs. "Fine, I'll tell you how it goes later," he says, kissing her cheek before getting in his car. He's about to drive away when he looks back to see her already gone. "Damn witch," he mutters before making his way to Steve's place.

When Billy got there, he saw the girls just leaving. They gave him well-expected glares. "He really misses you, ya know," Robin says, helping Heather put their bags into her car. "I hope you guys fix this, for his sake," she says, hopping in the driver's seat and driving away. "I'm gonna try," he mumbles before approaching his front door. He knocks on it, two or three times knowing well that he has a key. He figures he wants Steve to choose if he comes in or not.

There's shuffling from behind. "Guys, did you forget some-" Steev started to yell, opening the door to reveal Billy. There's eyeliner, eyeshadow, and mascara of different colors surrounding his eyes. His hair was up in two small braids, tied at the ends with a purple and pink rubber band. It looks like a couple of four years olds went ham on him.

"Steve, I-"

Billy doesn't get to finish his sentence before the other unexpectedly leaps into his arms. He freezes for a moment before hesitantly wrapping his arms around him. Before he could get much contact in when he is being pushed back from him and into the now-closed front door.

"What the hell is your problem?! Leaving me like that? You mother fucker!" He shouts, hitting his chest again. Billy opens his mouth, trying to explain himself when Steve slaps him. His head doesn't go far, Vampire skin being able to withstand a simple slap.

He stands there huffing, glaring at Billy. "You done?" Billy asks gently, kind of not wanting to get socked in the face this time. Steve sighs and folds his arms across his chest, a very unimpressed look on his face. He gestures with his hands for Billy to continue.

"Look, I'm sorry I ran off okay? I shouldn't have yelled at you and made it seem like it was your fault. It's my own fucked up shit I don't-" he sighs, and leans his head back against the door refusing to look at Steve. "No one has ever loved me so much they wanted to give up their mortal life to be with me. You- I can't do it. I don't want to ruin your life and you ending up hating me."

He hears Steve walking closer to him and suddenly he is dragging him to the couch. He forces him to sit down, Steve perching himself on Billy's lap.

"I would never hate you for that, especially when I wanted it so bad. I'm not giving up anything to be with you, it isn't a chore or something I feel obligated to do. It's a pleasure to be in love with you and I'm not just talking about the sex." Billy chuckles and places his hands on Steve's thighs.

"I can't, Steve, you don't know what it's like living like me. You are going to lose interest and be trapped in this because of me. I can't do that to you like my dad did to me. He ruined me, Steve, I don't want that for you." his voice breaks at the end, he avoids eye contact with Steve and focuses on an ugly painting above the adjoining couch.

Then that's when Steve gets it. It's when he finally understands it had nothing to do with him. He didn't want Billy to end up like his father. "Look at me tiger, I need you to hear me," Steve says, gently moving his face so their eyes could meet. Billy's eyes were misty, gleaming at Steve in the dim living room light. He slowly petting Billy's cheek.

"I love you. I want to spend every day with you. I want to be yours forever. You are not like your dad, he didn't give you a choice. I have that and so do you. I want you to understand that. You are right, I have no idea what it's like. But I want to learn and I want you to teach me." he said, gently bracing Billy's face in his palms. "Will you have me?"

Billy stares into Steve's eyes looking for any sign of hesitation but finding none. He sighs and leans up a bit to press their lips together. "Okay," he says simply, confusing Steve. "You'll do it?" he asks hopefully. Billy nods with a smile, Steve kissing him happily.

"I love you, Billy. More than you could ever know," he says against his lips. Billy grins. "We should probably do it soon, everything you are feeling will be heightened and you'll want someplace familiar to turn." He said, looking around the room for the best place.

"I wanna do it now."

Billy looks at him. "You sure, pretty boy?" he asks, running his hands up and down his thighs lightly. Steve smiles and nods. "I need you to say it."

Steve looks at him, his eyes heated when he asked. "I want you to turn me, Billy. I want to know." he breathes, taking Billy's cheeks in his hands.

"Alright."
