Inside The Calamity (Reader POV)

Urbosa

After stopping at three stables, we finally made it to the start of the desert.

"Just to Kara Kara Bazaar and then Gerudo Town," I said.

"Alright, let's go."

"Wait! Our horses won't be able to go in the desert and there's no getting sand seals from here. We'll have to walk."

Link groaned and ran forward.

"Link! Wait!" I yelled as I attempted to catch up to him.

"Slow down!"

Soon we made it to Kara Kara Bazaar.

"Phew, that was hot. In the game, I never really understood how hot it would be, but now that I'm here, I know that I misjudged the heat."

"I agree. It's very hot. We should get some water and then head to Gerudo Town."

"Good idea."

We went to the pond and drank water from our cupped hands. We put some in our flasks and resumed our journey.

"Ugh... How are we not there yet?!"

"(Name), we are almost there." She sighed. "No wonder they act so immature, they're (Age)."

"What was that?"

"Nothing."

"Sure. Anyway, Link, how are you doing?"

He side-glanced toward us and then immediately looked back.

Finally, we were there and dying of heat.

The only way for Link to get into Gerudo Town was to wear vai (women's) clothing. He wasn't very happy about it.

"So, she would be up there, in the 'throne room'" I said.

Zelda and I stopped to have a drink of water. I snuck behind Link who was still walking.

"Link, drink your water."

"I'm fine, I don't need it."

"Link, stop acting so stoic. You're a human being like the rest of us. Drink the dang water."

"I don't need it."

I turned him around to face me and looked him in the eyes.

"Link."

He sighed. I grabbed his water flask and handed it to him.

"Thank you." I smiled.

He nodded and the three of us headed up to Urbosa.

"Urbosa,"

"Oh, hello, little bird."

"I am pleased to meet you, Lady Urbosa."

"Ah, and who are you?"

"(Name)."

"So, what is it you three... Link?"

He blushed and turned his face away.

"(Name) here knows what will happen during the Great Calamity. We are creating a plan to prevent what goes wrong."

"Oh, I see. How do they know these things? Are they another fortune-teller your father hired?"

I pulled out my switch for probably the 10th time in two days.

"This is called a Nintendo Switch. It has a game on it which is called Breath of the wild and it is based on your life here in Hyrule. It is right after the calamity and now there is a prequel so I know exactly what happens during the Great Calamity. I can stop it, but I would need everyone's help, of course."
