"Skye? The girl's not qualified to be a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent."
Coulson had just informed Avery, May, and Ward about Skye becoming a permanent member of the team. May and Ward raised some issues they had with it, whereas Avery didn't have a problem with it. She was already quite fond of Skye, and if Skye was sticking around, Avery would definitely get her to teach her some things.
Coulson nodded. "Agreed. That's why I've invited her on as a consultant. S.H.I.E.L.D. does it all the time. Technically, Stark's a consultant."
"And technically, Skye's a member of the Rising Tide. She hacked our RSA implementation."
Avery leant her head on her palm, exhausted by the argument that had unfolded before her.
"Twice." Coulson interrupted. "From a laptop. Imagine what she'll do with our resources."
Ward nodded his head. "I am. That's exactly what I'm imagining during this frown. You brought me on for risk assessment? She's a risk. She doesn't think like us." Ward reminded.
"Exactly." Coulson responded.
"We have two kids on this bus who aren't cleared for combat. You're adding a third." May chimed in.
"At least Fitz-Simmons are trained S.H.I.E.L.D. scientists," Ward paused. "but Skye. You said this was a select team assembled to work new cases, to protect people. I don't see how letting some hacker tag along—"
Coulson cut in once more, "I'm looking for an objection I haven't already anticipated. I'm calling this, but your frown will be on record."
Ward placed his hands on the table, leaning into them, and brushing off the previous conversation. "We've been called in to investigate an 084. We all know what that means." He noted.
"Yes, we do. It means we don't know what that means."
"Which is always fun." Avery joked.
She didn't really like 084s. They freaked her out. And this time it was no different - she definitely wasn't excited for this one.

Avery gazed out the window, watching the colours of the Peruvian trees blur together as the truck drove towards an archaeology site where the 084 had been discovered.
Coulson and Avery had journeyed to the site in a truck with an archaeologist from the site, while the rest of the team took a S.H.I.E.L.D. car.
Upon their arrival, Avery stepped out the car, admiring the gorgeous temple that loomed over them. The sun was out and brightly grinning down at them, like it was laughing at them for the chaotic day that would take place.
She spotted Fitz and Simmons discussing animatedly, so Avery bounded towards them with a grin, joining in on their conversation. "I would love to see a capuchin in the wild. Maybe even a yellow-tailed woolly monkey. You know, Peru has 32 different species of monkey."
