The Calm Before The Storm

Note: If you have not read the last chapter, here is a short summary. Anidita get a little intimate (not fully), and Bondita finally understands what everything means. They are taking things slow. At the end, Trilochan calls their names from downstairs and interrupts them, sounding furious. Read on to find out what happens next.

Bondita quickly adjusted her saree, trying hard to look presentable, and Anirudh put his clothes back on quickly. They weren't even close to looking presentable when Kaka banged on the door with his cane. 

Anirudh groaned and was about to say something when Bondita shook her head with wide eyes. It was all too embarrassing for her. The room door was locked, and she was here with Anirudh. What else could this mean than Kakasasurji's worst fears? 

She indicated to the washroom with her eyes, silently asking Anirudh to go and hide there. Anirudh nodded and closed the washroom door. 

"Coming Kakasasurji!" Bondita called and quickly looked in the mirror, fixing her hair. It wasn't fully fixable but she did her best. 

She opened the door and smiled at her Kakasasurji. 

"Yes Kakasasurji?" she asked. 

Trilochan looked at the space behind her. 

"Where is Anirudh?" he demanded. 

"I - I don't know," Bondita lied. 

Then Trilochan Babu looked at Bondita's slightly messy hair. 

"I - I was sleeping," Bondita said quickly, nervously running her fingers through her hair. "Kakasasurji, I got tired so I had decided to take a nap." 

Trilochan Babu narrowed his eyes and asked, "Then where is Anirudh?" 

Bondita gulped and shook her head, indicating that she didn't know. However, it was clear as day that she was lying. It was very hard for her to tell a lie to her beloved Kakasasurji. 

Trilochan Babu stepped inside the room and headed towards the bathroom. He opened the door, and stepped inside. 

Bondita nervously waited outside until she heard Anirudh's voice call out, "Kaka!" 

She squeezed her eyes shut out of embarrassment. 

Trilochan Roy Choudhary left the bathroom, holding Anirudh by the ear. 

"This is how I raised you?" he yelled at Anirudh, and then turned to look at Bondita, "This wasn't expected from you Bahu. You lied to me." 

Bondita just looked down shamefully.

"Kaka relax!" Anirudh said and rubbed his ear after his Kaka let go of it. "We weren't doing anything like that. Plus we will get married soon!"

"Then wait!" Trilochan Babu yelled, "I fixed your wedding for three days from now. I don't understand what kind of craziness this is that you cannot wait for three days!" 

Both Anirudh and Bondita looked up with excitement when they heard that they would be married to each other three days from now.

"Kaka, we have been away from each other for eight years," Anirudh explained, "It's not craziness. It's love." 

He looked at Bondita and smiled warmly at her, and seeing his smile, made her smile too. She always trusted him, and when he smiled at her like everything was okay, then it meant everything was okay. There was no reason for her to worry. 

"Your love can wait for three days," Kaka responded. "Now please stop stressing me out. I am getting old." 

Anirudh shook his head and said, "Kaka, you know how deep our relationship is. Do you really think we can stay apart for three days?"
