After lunch was served that day, Bondita had gone upstairs to fold some sarees. Her and Anirudh were strictly forbidden from doing any work.

"You will arrive as guests to your wedding. You don't get to plan it," Trilochan Babu had informed them when Bondita tried to help with the preparations. "Our Lakshmi is coming home, and we will let her do work for her own big day? Never."

Bondita smiled as she folded her sarees and put them carefully in the wardrobe. Tomorrow was the haldi, and the day after was the wedding. Her stomach was performing somersaults and she was blushing constantly all day.

She would finally get to be Bondita Anirudh Roy Choudhary again.

While she was putting the sarees in the wardrobe, Anirudh entered the room.

"Bondita," he said, glancing behind his shoulder knowing that they would be in trouble if caught.

There was a full house today with everyone helping with the wedding preparations, and Sumati Ma was also staying in this room. If she came up and saw them, it would also be quite an embarrassing situation.

Bondita looked up and smiled at him.

"I came to give you this," he told her and handed her a piece of paper.

Then he looked behind him once more and planted a quick kiss on her cheek before heading out, leaving her stunned.

Bondita couldn't help her blush as she touched the spot where he had kissed her. These small secret meetings were so meaningful. There was a certain enjoyment in sneaking around to see each other.

Opening the piece of folded paper, she read:

My lovely Bondita,

We have two days until our big day. However, two days feels like two years for me. I want to be around you. Fine, if I don't get that, then at least let me exchange letters with you.

From now on, we will write letters to each other secretly, and we will leave them for each other under the lamp in the study room. This is how we will spend our next two days. Nobody will see us meeting each other and talking to each other, but we will still communicate.

I have been wanting you and craving for you badly. This way at least I can hold your handwriting to my chest and sleep with your letters next to me.

This, Mrs. Bondita Roy Choudhary, is Anirudh Roy Choudhary's first love letter for his wife.

Love,

Your Anirudh

After she read the letter, Bondita blushed. How could he be so sweet? She never knew that her Pati Babu could be so romantic. She immediately sat by her desk and penned her reply.

My Pati Babu,

I have given you many names, but from today you are my Romantic Babu too. You don't know how every word you write is beautiful for me. I will cherish every word of yours. You are everything to me Pati Babu.

I can't wait to officially be Mrs. Bondita Roy Choudhary again, and I will forever treasure every moment of ours, whether it is before our wedding or after it.

You will hold my handwriting to your chest and sleep with it? I will hold your thoughts and love with me in my heart always.

Love,

Your Bondita

Smiling, Bondita skipped down the stairs, holding the pallu of her saree to conceal the letter. Then looking around, she slipped the letter under the lamp and stepped out of the study.
