The Past

"Mom, I don't want to do this" I whined

"Jungkookie, I know it's tough, but you have to understand that this is what's best" she smiled as she brushed my bangs from my forehead

"It's going to be so hard to make new friends. It took forever to make the ones I have" I pouted

"You're eleven now baby, it'll be different. I promise" she kissed my cheek as I got out of the car and walked towards my new school. Being the new kid was going to suck, and I didn't want to be here.

"Our new student! Please introduce yourself!" The teacher beamed as she draped her arm over my shoulders

"J-Jungkook" I stuttered and I knew my cheeks were red

"Please take the seat open in the back" she smiled and I shyly walked to my desk, I put my book bag down and it hit the kid sitting next to me on his foot

"I'm sorry" I gasped and grabbed my bag

"It's okay, I'm Yoongi by the way"

"Jungkook" I smiled, he nodded silently and kept doodling on his paper

The Present

"How'd it go?" Jin asked as I walked into the house and kicked off my shoes

"It was good" I smiled

"Just good?"

"It was amazing honestly. The only problem..well, not really a problem I guess? Yoongi works there and he's on my team"

"Oh" his eyes widened "well, I'm sure it'll be okay kook" he smiled and patted my back "Joonie and Yugyeom are coming over for dinner"

"Awesome, I'm just gonna go shower" he nodded and I walked up the stairs to my room

The Past

Weeks went by, Yoongi and I began talking more and more. Mostly me, he was a very quiet kid for the most part, but every time he spoke I felt compelled to hang onto every word.

He was my best friend.

We even started to hang out on the weekends. When summer came around, we took turns sleeping over each other's houses, playing video games, watching movies, staying up late and eating junk food. It was awesome.

We stayed close, joined at the hip for the most part and at sixteen, things changed.

"Why don't you go?"

"I don't want to" he mumbled and shook his head as we sat on my bed

"Why not?"

"Because I don't like her" he shook his head

"Oh" I frowned, Yoongi had been asked to the dance by one of our peers and he had turned her down, politely of course, but she was still upset with him and told everyone he was a creep "I'm sure you'll meet a girl you like" I smiled and patted his back

"Doubtful" he sighed and laid down on his back, I laid next to him and stared at the ceiling

"Why?"

"You're my best friend right?"

"Of course" I smiled

"You love me no matter what, right?"

"Yoongs, you're freaking me out" I chuckled making him smile

"Just answer my question"

"Yes. Min Yoongi, you're my best friend, and nothing will ever change that. I love you with my whole heart" I dramatically hugged him making him laugh

"Well.. I need to tell you something"

"Anything"

"I'm gay"

My heart stopped beating for a second and my vision was a little off as I let the words sink into my brain and into my skin. Gay? He likes boys?

Does he know I'm gay?

I never told him.

I never hit on him either.

Do I tell him?

"Me t-too" I stuttered and hid my face

"Really?" He turned his head and locked his eyes on mine, I nodded and nibbled my bottom lip "oh" he looked away, and turned his head back to me, his pale cheeks turned the prettiest shade of pink "um.. do you like anyone?"

You.

"Uh.. kind of" I mumbled

"Me too" he nodded

Ouch. My heart cracked.

"W-who?"

"You" he answered confidently even though his cheeks turned red and he tried to look away from me. I didn't answer him and instead slid my hand closer to his and wrapped my pinky around his pinky and smiled as he looked at me softly

"Me too" I whispered

"Would it be okay, if I kissed you?" I nodded and closed my eyes as he inched closer to me and laid on his side, he lowered his head down and when his lips met mine I felt fireworks explode in my body.
