(Warnings: Yandere(bad) Alcina. Manipulation. Arguments. Threats. Gaslighting. Mother reader.)

(Pretty short)(I thought we should take a look at her more self-absorbed side, so expect an Alcina none of us would like to meet)

It had been two years since you brought you and your daughter into this castle — the blossoming love blooming between you and the mistress after you fled from the village with your one-year-old daughter, Evina, proving an almost obsessive fuel for the lady herself...leading to a series of unfortunate events.

Now, one thing we should understand is, Evina was not yours biologically, and rather you took her in after your good friend, tragically went missing. The sudden disappearances were the bigger portion of why you left, choosing to take refuge in Castle Dimitrescu as but a maid - you soon turned out to be something much more.

Not only did you manage to captivate the Lady herself, but you also managed to make you and your daughter, a permanent residence.

Which leads us back to the present.

Where you lay just a few feet away from Alcina, laying on the bed, cradling your daughter in your arms as your beloved sits just beyond her vanity, legs crossed over another as she takes a final puff of her cigarette before bed.

It had become a habit, the two of you sitting in silence, yet, it wasn't as comfortable as one may think - a multitude of arguments having been the only conversations you two were having as of late.

"Are you sure your smoking won't hurt Evina?" You bring up, brushing your fingers over your daughter's face. "Her cough has gotten worse, lately..."

Once more, Alcina fixes you with a harsh glare, red lips curling with disdain.

"I'm sure, I of all people would know what's adequate for our daughter, I've raised three." She scoffs.

Your brows scrunch together and you look to the ground, knowing you've only done more to worsen her mood.

"I didn't mean - Alcina, please, can we just talk?"

What more was there to say other than no longer do the two of you see eye to eye(regardless of height), was it the fact that, on multiple occasions, Alcina has dismissed you as if bored of your very presence?

"We fight so often and I just want us to—"

She looks away, careless, with not a single emotion.

It stung, far worse than you expected - so bad, that you'd rather spend the night in a separate room...

You could imagine her shock as you stand without a word, holding Evina close as you quietly move to exit.

Predatory eyes watching your every move and planning a means of attack.

"I said you are not to roam the halls at night, did I not?"

"If you aren't going to talk to me, then I see no other reason to stay here."

You retort, instantaneous.

Alcina all but grinds her teeth together — yet, she knows exactly what she has to do.

Feigning a look of sorrow, she meets your eyes, lowering her cigarette to rest and burn out on her vanity.

"I...I've been quite harsh to you - haven't I?"

Your hand hovers over the doorknob, taken aback by her sudden change.

She sighs, heavy and full of guilt, an obvious strain in her throat.

"My beloved, and my beautiful daughter whom I do not deserve."

Alcina stands, careful of her intimidating height as she approaches.

Had a simple action such as sleeping in another bed truly brought her down to reality? If so, you were happy just to talk rather than fight.

Evina stirs, tiny hands grasping your nightgown as Alcina closes in.

She reaches for you, bending down just enough so she may meet you eye to eye.

One may think Alcina would reach for your hand, and yet, her cold fingers find a home over your jaw - her thumb gently caressing over your bottom lip, a sad smile on her ruby lips.

However, for such soft hands, they are true to one thing, and that is violence.

Her expression twisting into that of a sadistic grin, a force of pressure slamming your head against the door as she sneers.

"You do not command a dragon in her lair, you will stay here, and that is final to this discussion."

With a shove and one of natural power, your head slams into the door once more, this time hard enough to bring splotches of black dots into your vision.

You reach out, grasping for Alcina even when she's the one to cause such pain - your only instinct is for her aid and her first promise of protecting you.

"If only you would listen to me, then maybe you'd understand my opinion is the only one that should matter."

As Evina began to cry, your hold grows weak, almost nonexistent over the child, yet Alcina only offers a firm hand to your wrist, keeping the child held properly.

"You dare go against me again, you will never see your darling Evina again, and I will raise her to be a proper Dimitrescu."
