Sienna POV (past)

I just ended my first shift the cafe, and man was I not prepared with the endless orders and constant flow of foot traffic.

I just got home and was planning on sitting outside to tan and maybe swim a little. Ellie didn't work today, which made me sad because I wanted to see her. She won't be back in town until next week which means it is only Harry and I opening unless he completely switched to closing. Harper is also doing college tours and won't be back until next week.

The house is quiet which is nice. Today my Mom took Ezra to town with Anne and I think they said they will be going out to dinner after.

I look at my phone and see it is three thirty. I shouldn't be this bored with my day but I am. I usually hangout with friends after my shift, but when the two closest friends I have are out of town and Harry is MIA.

I begin to text Harry to see if he is around.

Me: hiya

Harry: hello lovely ;)

Me: wyd

Harry: at mall w Michelle

Harry: wbu

Me: uhh nothing

Me: was just wondering if u were free but no biggie!

Harry: I will be home at like 6 if you wanted to resume our ice cream date

Me: I dont wanna be a bother

Harry: who said u were

Me: I feel like I am

Harry: I shall see u at 6 darling

I put down my phone on the couch and sigh. I do feel like a bother to him because he is out with another girl and I don't want to be the reason their time is cut short. Especially if he really likes her.

I head upstairs to lay down before ice cream. I might read, or put up new photos of my friends and I, and relax. I do need to take the photos down of my old "boyfriends". I keep telling myself to not bother on hanging up photos because they never last. I think I just do it for memories sake.

I enter my bedroom, and start organizing my new printed photos. I have ones of Ellie and I, Harper and I; the three of us, and some of Harry and I.

The one photo that sticks out is the one my Mom took of us. His arm is draped over my shoulder and his lips are pressed to my cheek. I believe this was last summer and my heart flutters by the memory.

I take down the ones of my ex fling Isaac and I, and hang up the ones of my friends instead. I leave room for a new photo of a boy just incase one does pop up this summer.

I end up sitting on my bed and grabbing my summer reading book to get a head start. The last thing I need is my mom scolding me on how I didn't do my summer work again.

~

It is six o'clock on the dot and my eyes peer out the window that looks out at the neighbors house. No car is in their driveway which makes my heart burn a little with sadness.

I look to my phone and see no call or text, which makes my eyes burn as well.

A familiar text tone fills the room and I look down at my phone and roll my eyes.

Ben: party tonight! come over!!

I ignore my sudden disappointment and lay back down on my bed. I read about half of my summer reading book, and feel unmotivated to keep going.
