Sienna POV
Ellie offered to take my shift at the cafe today so I can spend time with Logan as he is in town, which made me happy. I also lucked out on not having to work a shift with Harry, which also made me happy.
Currently we are walking around Saratoga Springs, looking at the scenery, and going to little shops that are scattered around. Since I have "lived" in this area for years, the least I can do is show Logan some of the things my family and I do every year.
We are sitting outside a frozen yogurt shop currently. An umbrella from the table covers us so we can eat comfortably without the sun being in our eyes. Thankfully it is quite breezy out today, most likely because it is going to rain later. "Do you enjoy coming up here every summer?" Logan asks. He is wearing a backwards hat on his head followed by a maroon carhartt hoodie, and grey joggers. I think he looks really cute today.
"Depends," I answer. "Sometimes I feel forced. I obviously have all my friends back home who I want to see, but then I do have a bunch of people here who I am excited to spend time with, like Ellie and Harper. It makes my parents happy though so I don't complain."
"Even though you're leaving when you get home for college?" Logan questions further.
"I don't care as much," I say. "I didn't want to go as much this summer but it wasn't because of the fact college happens right after. My goal is to see everyone right before I go though."
"Then what is it because of?" Logan asks. His eyes stare at me with interest which is the first to me. Most guys I've dated don't care about what I have to say, or care to ask me these types of questions.
I think back to what made the thought of the lake house not enjoyable. The first thought that came to mind was Harry and how when our friendship I suppose ended, things changed.
"I think having my parents like always plan what I do, not ever letting me just do my own thing." I come up with. It is not completely wrong, I just don't want to talk about Harry.
Logan nods and puts his spoon into his mouth. "It is like that back home too." He mentions. "It is nice up here though."
"Yeah," I agree. "How is home?" I ask, turning the question back to him.
"It is okay. I miss spending time with you." My boyfriend says, which causes a grin to escape to my lips. "Other than that, nothing new. My parents are sad about me going away for college. I am still in state but like an hour from home which to them is far."
My parents are oblivious to the fact that I am going across the country. The only time they recognize it, is when they guilt trip me to coming to things. Other than that, it is like nothing is happening.
I look at the time and realize we should be getting ready for Bens party. I don't really want to go, Harry kind of pressured me into going, because I know Logan would feel a certain way if I didn't say yes.
We soon leave the yogurt place and walk back to the car my parents let me borrow. Part of me wishes my parents weren't home so we could hangout at the house. I am not allowed to be in my room, basement, etc with Logan. We can only be where my parents can see me. Which also means, if they are outside we have to be as well. Sometimes I want to argue their logic because I am not going to have sex on the couch as they are right outside gardening or what not. I feel like they don't trust me, which gets on my nerves.
We soon leave Saratoga Springs and head back to my lake house. I am not planning on getting dressed for this party, it is just a bonfire and by the time it happens it will be cold outside. I said to Logan what he is wearing is fine.
