Sienna POV (past)

It has been one full week with Harry not talking to me, and to be frank, I think he is over exaggerating.

It is seven a.m and I am water the flowers for my Mom. Her and Anne went to some concert in the city so they are spending the weekend nearly back home. I think it is ironic how they buy neighboring houses to just rent a hotel room for the weekend for a concert.

My dad is still asleep and so is my brother. I am an early bird, so I usually wake up early and fall asleep late. Yes, I am always tired.

My eyes look next door when I hear a door slam shut and someone say "fuck" by the sound. I realize it is Michelle leaving Harry's house. She is wearing jeans and a hoodie, which is not like her usual attire. I might not be the fondest of her, but her fashion taste is nice.

Her eyes look over in my direction before walking down the porch to go to her car. I see Harry leave his house and stand on his patio. My eyebrows furrow by this weird interaction and my mind puts the pieces together. Harry's eyes dart in my direction making me look away.

I finish up my watering duties and head inside to avoid any awkwardness.  The last thing I want to know is why she is leaving his house at seven a.m

~

My Dad and brother have their father son bonding fishing day, today, which means I have the house to myself, which is rare.

Usually these are the times I'd sneak over boys, but none of that for me this summer.

I look out my bedroom window and see Harry outside washing his car alone.

I take it upon myself and take this time to approach him on why I have been ignored. As soon as he sees me walk in his direction, he turns off the water, and turns off his music.

"What do you want?" He asks, getting to the point.

The sun is beaming down on us, making my forehead trickle with sweat.

"Well, good afternoon to you too." I mutter back making his eyes roll. Harry tugs his hand thru his curls and looks away from me. "Are you free to talk?"

"I am busy right now." Harry says. "Why?"

"I just wanted to talk." I repeat. I am not going to fight for someone to want to talk to me. I am not going to fight to make someone want and hangout with me. I am not that type of person. "I guess whenever you're not busy, let me know." I say.

We make brief eye contact before I turn my heel and walk away. Harry doesn't fight me on leaving, which I wasn't expecting him too. I feel my stomach turn a bit on how uninterested he seemed in just having a conversation. If this is the reason we stop being friends, I am going to laugh in his face.

Ellie soon texts me saying to come to a party at one of her friends houses. It is a pool party that starts at two p.m and it will be "fun".

Surprisingly Ben isn't throwing this party, which makes me interested in going.

It is one o'clock now, so I decide to get ready. I don't have an empty car home, so Ellie offered to pick me up on the way.

***

The party is at a Ellie's friend, Alice's house. She has mentioned this friend to me here and there over the years, but I personally have never met her.

I am sitting on the couch in the living room, accompanied by Alice, Ellie, Harper and a few more of their mutual friends.

The conversation is lite, nothing too personal or interesting to keep tabs on. It is mostly gossip about people I have never met or only see at these types of events.
