Chapter 2-Two giant swords and an elf

I suddenly woke up around 1 am because my throat was as dry as the Sahara Desert. I drank a lot of water at dinner, but I still got up for a drink. I went to the kitchen to get a glass of water, and I heard a grunt. It startled me but I just thought It was my mom at home, but I realised that she wasn't home.

At that moment I heard a man's voice. It scared me but I kept my composure to investigate. He said, 'argh we crossed into the wrong world again' and I heard another voice, a girl's and she said, "we drained our reserves, and we can't climb the tree again', this conversation is weird I thought to myself. "we should stay here for a while don't you think Audree", the man said. "yes, I think we should Oscar", the girl said. And me being the genius that I am chose this moment to reveal myself.

"Hi there" I said totally impressing them with my language skills. "who are you guys, I mean you guys randomly ended up here" they were astonished. And I got a good look at them, Oscar, the man was about 6 feet tall, he had long dark hair and blue eyes, he wore camo pants an olive shirt and he had a what looked like 2 huge swords strapped onto his back. Audree, the, girl she had short blond hair, gray and blue eyes, and she had freckles on her face. She wore a blue shirt, white pants and had an empty quiver and a bow on her back. Oh, and did I mention that they looked like they had been through a blender? They had cuts and bruises everywhere.

I couldn't stand it anymore, they looked so out of shape that I forgot to even ask them questions or even call the police. I said, "Hey, you guys clearly look like you need help, I'd love to not let you pass away please." "Thank you, you don't seem surprised that we're here" the tall man said "I totally am freaking out but let's not think of that now" "You guys look like you've been to hell and back" "yes, hell" she muttered. I decided to ignore that and think about it later. "So, my name's Kai", I said and with that I helped them with their wounds, get dressed (although for some reason I had this extra-large shirt which fit Oscar), and I made them some potato soup because that's the most calming dish I know how to make. they ate it with relish not even sparing a drop of it. "thank you" Oscar said. "welcome" I replied.

"Now you guys owe me an explanation as to how you got here and what the heck is the tree?". They looked at each other nervously, as if they had a silent conversation, they nodded and faced me, their expressions were stern. "Well, we were climbing the tree of life.... it's a massive tree which connects all universes, time and realms, we wanted to get back home but we ended up making a wrong jump, I guess", they said this like they were going to the store and got lost.

"But we were on the right track home I swear it, something must have changed our course.... something powerful". They looked at me and said, "Since we ended up in your house who are you and where did you come from?". I was hesitant to tell them about me, but they told me something so supernatural and they seemed trustworthy. So, I said "Well my name is Kai ...you already know that, as to where I came from, I don't have a clue, I was an orphan and I didn't know who my parents were or anything, although I do have a foster mom. So as to where you guys are...you're in Austin, Texas. Honestly its very late at night and you guys look really bad so stay here for the night and let's talk in the morning, ok?". 

Both of them nodded and Oscar passed out on the sofa while I gave Audree the guest bedroom. I went to sleep in my room. I closed my eyes and I thought that this was all as dream because it seemed so unreal.
