Chapter 5-The rage of Zayden

Oscar charged with a battle cry so loud I almost told him to shut his mouth. He pounced at the nearest hexalops with one of his swords and cut its arm off. Audree was firing arrows continuously hitting her target every single time. Her eyes were filled with anger and concentration, every time she hit her target that arrow returned to her quiver to be fired again. I wondered how that happened but at the same time I was in awe because the scene I was looking at wasn't going to come by every day. Oscar was really good with his dual swords, by the time I looked back at him he had already killed about 15 of the hexalops. "ah there you are child. I was looking for you". I whipped around to find myself face to face with the dragon dude I had saw earlier. "who are you? And want do you want with me." I managed to ask him that without wetting myself. "I am Xander, I live to serve my master and you Kai, are my target for today".

I looked around me, Oscar was chopping heads off and he was covered in this slimy substance. Audree was using her daggers which I hadn't noticed before, they were made of this blue and silver metal. When she finally stabbed the last one Infront of her 4 more came from behind and pulled her down. Oscar noticed me, and this dragon dude called Xander. He started to run towards me, but I told him that I'd deal with this dude and that he should help Audree. Then, one of hexalops bit Oscar on his shoulder. He screamed in pain and that's when I broke. I screamed the loudest I could. He and Audree got hurt trying to protect me. I couldn't have these two get hurt for me, I was enraged.

I faced Xander with anger burning in my eyes, so much anger that I felt my insides melting. "You will not get away with this" I said in a voice that was definitely not mine. "You hurt my friends who are trying to protect me, you will not live". Suddenly I felt a bunch of power well up inside of me, it felt familiar, like I've felt this warmth before. He stared at me, he tried to keep a poker face, but I saw the fear in his eyes. I taunted him, "What's wrong lizard breath? Too scared to even attack me? You know I'm defenseless right now, why aren't you attacking me?" He stepped away from me, but I just moved closer. This feeling was comforting I remembered all the people who looked down on me, all the people who bullied me and all the times I felt scared and alone. I channeled those feelings through me and shouted. A wave of red light emerged from me and as I was told, my eyes were glowing red. Everyone went still, they stopped fighting and looked at me, even Audree and Oscar stared at me.

"GO AWAY!" I yelled. Suddenly all the hexalops dropped to the ground. I looked at Xander, he dropped to the ground and started to cry. I crouched down to his level and said, "Get lost and never come back again". He nodded and unfolded his wings and flew away. The hexalops disintegrated into dust and we were all alone again, I ran to Oscar and Audree to see if they were okay. But they just stared at me with pure terror in their eyes. Aubree finally said quietly, "You just used the rage, the rage of Zayden". I looked at her with confusion before my knees buckled and I passed out.
