Oscar dragged me to the chief's tent, almost breaking my wrist in the process. He took the helmet off my head and threw it on the ground making a loud clang sound. The chief whirled around in surprise and looked at us "I heard the news and it's alright kids. I think this is just a mere coincidence."
"But this coincidence happens every single time in this tribe, it's not a coincidence anymore" Oscar said. I was sick of them always talking like I wasn't here "Hey what's going on? I didn't do anything wrong did I?" They both stared at me. Oscar took a deep breath and said, "Every time a big shot like you shows up here, they are usually defined whether "Alex" over here comes to them and becomes their little 'pet'. When this happens something really huge starts. When it was your dad, that's when he decided to go talk to queen Bellona to urge her to stop her fighting." I stared at the campfire that was happening outside for a while. My heart was racing. I finally took my eyes off the burning coals and looked at Oscar "So you're saying that I'm a start to something really big and that Alex is a sign?". The chief walked up to me, "Well young man, every person who attracted the attention of the achtion has always been one to change history. Noticing this pattern, it's kind of obvious at this point that you will change the world in a way."
I looked at him "You sure about this? like a hundred percent sure?".
"I'm very sure something will happen in the following days to come".
"What if everything goes bad? I mean that possibility also exists."
"Well, there was a guy way before your father was born, his name was Julian. The achtion also chose him but he brought destruction over the land. He almost killed every single living thing in this world. So, we don't know, it could go either way."
Okay that's scary, I mean couldn't have been a little subtle with that huh. I mean I almost wet myself hearing that. He did say that it could go either way but man, this is too far.
"Well, uhh I don't want to kill everyone in existence, so I think the first step to that is not having a mental breakdown and crying so, goodbye." I brisk walked out of the tent and for some reason I started to feel lightheaded. I started running to the trees. I think what I did was kind of rude but if I was going to save or destroy the world I'd rather not know about previous people's mistakes and ruin my chances at this.
It's so frustrating...it's only been a few days of being here and getting to know all of this and I'm already someone who stands out and everyone depends on. I sat under the biggest tree looking at all the people who were getting ready for tonight's feast. "if I mess up this place and more will be gone." At this point I felt like I drank a bunch of alcohol, my head was spinning really badly for no reason at all.
Then Audree ran towards me, "hey man, I saw you storm out of the chief's tent, everything okay?"
I looked at her with a grin and said, "yeah".And before I knew it, I passed out.[again, I know its tiring]
